Gonna do an interview with Ford in near future

Doing soem work for the ASP. Trying to set up an interview with Ford about next season and Gary Jones and the NFL. Will see what happens and inform you guys if i get any interesting info. Dont know if any of you catched the ASP right afer vacation. I had a article in there talking about the Basketball program preping for next season already. Will inform you guys of any info i find out on anything.

Now, I know that being a student at UAlbany you have no formal journalistic training, since they don't have a program. And I know this is "just" a message board, so you're not using spell check. You'll probably say that it's informal, so you didn't bother to check your post(s) for grammar and sentence structure. But ...

 

I don't mean this to be a personal slight, because I don't know you ... But you're pretty illustrative of why the ASP is a total joke. It is quite possibly the worst student newspaper in America. I don't even have to get copies of other schools' papers to make this claim.

 

In two posts here you have a total of 8 lines, including 4 with grammatical and/or spelling errors. Five lines if you include improper use of or lack of punctuation.

 

How long will it take you to find the four (or five) lines that have errors and identify the errors?

 

Actually that post is a little too personal. Submit this thread to the ASP editorial staff. They never seem to catch any errors, since all of them go to print. Ask them to find your errors for you. Maybe they can find them in the April 22, 2004 issue (which came out on April 12, 2004).

 

In case you don't get the joke, they weren't even able to correctly proofread the date on that issue.

well actually, they editors change some of the sentences in the orginal article. That article i wrote, was edited about 25% based on the original one i used. That was the thing that really made me upset with it. But yeah one these boards, i just type, dont check, and just post. That just how I am. But i know im not that good at grammer. Thats one of the main flaws with me. But hey, i blame my the school systems for that, since my teachers in middle school spent maybe 2 hrs on eaching proper grammer on certain things...but hey, im smart enough to get into UA...hahaha
