Womens roster

For those who are interested, The 2003-04 Women's roster has finally been posted on the UA Athletics website. Sweetland and Hutchison are co-captains. A 2003 grad of Virginia has taken the job vacated by Val Klopfer.

Kind of curious that they have Alicia Learn listed as a guard. With her we have 8 guards on the roster and had Hemlock not transferred we'd have 9 guards. It will be interesting to see the coaching staff's thinking on not bringing in more front court players.

I think you will probably see Learn act as a 3/4 player. She has decent perimeter range for a post player. Also, Ayers will be utilized as a 2/3 (or small forward). It is obvious the squad is guard heavy, but really that was a weakness the past few seasons. If the squad committed five less turnovers per game, you probably could have seen about five more wins. I believe Maree Jones will compliment Danielle down on the blocks this year. She just needs to learn how to finish. If Jones can do that, she could easily average double figures.

Who cares! Nobody has an interest in the program and most could care less about the program. Nobody could name people on the women's team but everyone knows Jamar Wilson and Levi Levine. Enoughs said! The best players are Mari Warner's. Sweetland, Hutchinson, Ayers, Jones.

Ironically, you named four women's players but only two men. And chances are 95% of the campus has no idea who Jamar and Levi are.
