  1. Probably worst overall game we have played this year.  I called it...and I don't care what anyone says.  This is a rivalry game and I am not sure we were fully into it.

Looks like Woodell isn't doing great with a knee or ankle.  We will need him VERY much against Monmouth...they are looking tough right now.

Line and Reese haven't been up to par.  Rather get a stinker our now.

WTF is wrong with Aden's hand....he break it?!  That takes away a huge part of our game (passing out of the backfield).

This was a rendering developed early on for the Athletics fitness center that will be in the renovated PE Bldg, not SEFCU Core. The final design for PE will have a similar look and feel.

Great info.  It was a bit bizarre looking when I saw the columns, so it was confusing to me as I don't recall ANY columns in the core of SEFCU.  However, the person that gave me the brochure did not give me any further info other than pointing out the photo.  It said SEFCU Arena, so I figured it was the core.  Mea Culpa.  :)  No matter where it is, it looks great.

Now the million dollar question you may not be willing or can answer: what is the status with the PE building...is that something that funding is in place for in the NEAR TERM.

I agree on the most important priorities. What would be involved in upgrading the baseball facilities?

Minimum- stands, press box, batting cages.

Medium case- all the above and turn field.

Best case- all the above, scoreboard, lockerrooms, and lights.

    Check your messages!!!

Thanks for that information. How much of the needed funding can come from the State?

All of it, if they are so inclined.  However, I have to think the Indoor Facility, the finishing of the PE gym, and potential upgrades to softball (thinking Baseball can play at Bruno) are the top priorities.

I don't remember seeing the renditions of Phase 3. If they occur, it will be an awesome entrance to the complex. Anyone have any idea as to when the phase will be implemented? Or even what needs to occur before it gets started?

Per my understanding, Phase 2 (core renovation of Broadview, e.g. the squash courts, lockers, etc). would cost around another 12 million and Phase three another 15-20.  So, I'd say a LOOOOONG way away.

I have also seen renderings of what the core change might look like, which are pretty sweet.

wait...baseball being dropped? That is interesting. Would it be replaced with another sport? Can't drop that kinda nugget, lol

No.....not being dropped.  I said I doubt it will be.  Based on what I am hearing about some other things, in fact the opposite will occur.  It would receive more funding...and either we upgrade the facility a bit or we play more games at Bruno.

Some things are afoot per very, very credible sources...dependent on some other things that need to drop (and seem to be a foregone conclusion to occur).

BTW, there was a major decision in a California court the other day that will greatly impact the NCAA, and could spell the end of the NCAA as we know it.  It will be appealed but in short, the ruling clears the way for a damage claim against the NCAA that can reach in the billions to pay former student athletes who won their collusion case.  It will also fast track consolidation and likely see the top 80 or so teams breakaway from the NCAA so they can be pure, for profit businesses.

  7. Massey has not updated however, it is mildly absurd the teams who were ahead of us (we came in at 20).  Nova, who we steamrolled, was at 17 and I expect them to climb with their massive win today.  Delaware was at 10...also ridiculous if you look at whom they played. Missouri Valley and Big Sky literally own the top 15, with a combined 11 teams in the top 15.

Does the CAA champ get an automatic seed?  Win out and they win the CAA.  Wow

Most of the times...but we would still need to win, and win big for a valuable seed.  If we win out, and win by a huge margin, I can see us securing the 7th or 8th seed. That's massive...though 7 is much better because you avoid SDSU's side of the bracket.

We are getting ahead of ourselves, however.  SBU will be gunning for us...and Monmouth-Albany is always a huge game.

got it...so all entrances and exits remain the same for now

Correct...and likely for a LOOOONG while.

My guess on "next up" facilities, in order:

    1. Indoor Practice Facility

    2. Updates to Softball and Baseball (so long as the sport is not dropped, and I doubt it will be).

I've heard some VERY interesting things of late from some very credible sources.
