  1. Their nickname is the Kangaroos. Pretty appropriate that we're playing them with three Aussies on our roster. Fittingly enough, they also have an Australian on their roster. Picked 7th in the Summit League. They actually return four starters from last but struggled against Seton Hall to start the season.
  2. Weeded out a few links. What do you guys think about the stadium webcam being at the top of the page. Yea or nay?
  3. My understanding was that UA gets the money from the tickets sold through our box office and tickets purchased through the TUC box office go to...you know who. Not sure if that influences your decision. It's influenced mine.
  4. I didn't intend to take the site down after one of the biggest wins in school history but that's how it goes. Things will look a little different for a few days but you can still post and all. From now on I will take those "critical updates" a little more seriously and do them more often.
  5. I would have been pretty happy to get through the firs three games 1-2. Didn't imagine 2-1!!!!!!
  6. Technically NO! Utah was a win...but it was before they were BCS. I remember that Utah game, very well. It felt a lot like tonight. That's why I was so PO'ed when people were denigrating it last year. Water under the bridge now. This is sweet.
  7. That's got to be qualified by "best regular season win", right?
  8. At halftime we looked for guys other than Black and Iati to step up. Puk, Rowley and Hooley answered the call. Huge confidence boost for Hooley to knock down that clutch three.
  9. So freaking sweet! Click, have we ever beat a team from a BCS conference?
  10. HHHHHHOOOOLLLLLLEEEEEYYYYYY!!!!! Aussie Aussie Aussie!
  11. I've been a big Guerrier fan but he's had a rough game.
  12. Agreed...love the effort...team seems well coached running their sets. Got a little shaky to come out of the half but seemed to have settle down a bit. We took their punch to start the half and it didn't knock us out. Just keep battling.
  13. Evans should help. We need another ballhandler out there. Gotta weather the storm a bit.
  14. Halftime lead at a Pac 10 school. I'll take it. Hopefully there's some five hour energy for Mike Black in the locker room for the second half. Like the poise and toughness.
  15. Great to see Hooley attack the rim. We need something from somebody other than Black and Iati.
  16. That's why it's tough to win on the road. It'd be great to see Gary Johnson and Hooley get going here. We're gonna need all the help we can get.
  17. That was a bad looking injury. Hopefully he's OK. On our side, I like the hustle of Blake so far.
  18. 7 turnovers aren't so hot but we're holding our own on the boards.
  19. I've had no luck with either of the free streams either.
  20. There have been a few problems. It mostly depends on how your connecting - IE seems to be an issue, for example. There's an upgrade that needs to be run that should fix the problem but I've tried not to take the board down while we've had so much going on (football, basketball games right after each other, etc.) Sorry about the trouble.
  21. When we signed Rowley I thought he'd be one of those bruising rugby guys with half an ear torn off. Instead I continue to be impressed with how skilled and fluid his game is. I don't know or care if he really has a position, he's just fun to watch. Great to see the improvement Puk has made. He wants the ball, demands the ball and then does something positive when he gets it. Awesome to have a weapon in the post. Contrary to some of what we heard in the preseason, Mike Black doesn't need to be Gerardo Suero. He just needs to keep being Mike Black. He scored when we needed him to. As great as Puk's dunk was, I thought Black calmly draining that three when we were down late was the play of the game. I hope to see DJ Evans, Hooley and Johnson develop and take some of the load off Mike Black. I thought a lot was asked of him last night between bringing the ball up the floor and scoring. Speaking of which, Evans had one basket but what a basket. I'm not sure what happened where you were sitting, but everyone around me gasped when he made that move. More please.
  22. Nice ceremony before the game except for the banner unveiling issue. As UAlum72 said, it's probably better to raise a banner than it is to try and unfurl one. As for the game, I knew we'd miss Callaway and Jones early on but I wasn't sure how much. Last night we missed them a lot. The press didn't look nearly as formidable without them and we were pretty disorganized on offense much of the time. Coach Abe found all the right buttons last year and I'm sure she'll find them this year but our back court looks like it's going to be a work in progress early on. On the bright side, Shereesha Richards looked pretty good for a freshman in her first game. 7 points, 5 boards and a couple steals.
