  1. Just saw this one on the Twitter feed from Colgate Football: "From the Albany game program - Kevin Morgan - Biggest pet peeve: 'The lack of people willing to give high fives during pre practice warm up'" Maybe they should spend more time watching Holy Cross film, and less time scrutinizing UA's game program.
  2. Agreed. We better make sure Clickclack doesn't get an account...Zing!
  3. "The NanoCollege, which did not return a call seeking comment on Tuesday as the building continues to grow in size..." -It is almost like a self-fulfulling prophesy: Call them once, on a Tuesday after a holiday weekend, and if they don't respond quickly, run with an article noting their lack of cooperation...Or has this board's anti-TU sentiment just made me a little more jaded than usual?
  4. I suppose that is a foot in the mouth moment then, right? Oh well, not my cup of tea.
  5. Just because I love being contrarian: I like the application, but do we really need inspirational quotes? I need a UA fix, not a pick-me-up. Also, doesn't the whole thing kind of make us board members obsolete? All we have left to contribute is speculation and opinions. (Sorry, DP, I just couldn't resist...)
  6. Article on Hafley and his new success getting some Donnie Bosco recruits: Hafley "Hafley has taken that tactic, and made it work, since his days as an assistant at the University of Albany, where he was the program’s recruiting coordinator his final two seasons there."
  7. Not the same Xavier...that Xavier is Xavier Henry! Interesting side note here. Xavier's brother, C.J., was set to go to Kansas out of high school on a basketball scholarship in 2005. The Yankees drafted him, offered him seven figures, and he played minor league ball for the Yankees and Phillies. This past August he decided to try basketball again and walked-on to Memphis. Like sands through the hour-glass...
  8. Not the same Xavier...that Xavier is Xavier Henry! You see, multi-tasking is a p.i.t.a.
  9. Correctamundo. In my defense it is hard to hide all these non-work sites from "The Man" and still know what's going on. I think I am going to go back thorugh all my posts from 8AM to 4PM and see what kind of sense I make. Thanks a lot, Leaster...
  10. hagg....something about hook line and sinker comes to mind! Back to back years, too. I have to concentrate on either work or mid-major basketball. I MIGHT choose work for the remainder of the afternoon.
  11. What day is today? Yeah, I probably should have clicked the link. D'oh.
  12. Looks like the America Least is reporting that Wolff is going to North Florida. Interesting. Looks like Black could have had his choice of AE coaches.
  13. Don't worry. I'm mellowing after not seeing those sky-high recruiting numbers early. I'll gladly take four years of him outliving his high school assessment (or even just four years where he is dedicated to the program but the numbers don't show up). Also, did you see how quickly Singelais got an update up? That was nice work.
  14. But Saratoga starts in four months. Kidding. It's more like three and a half.
  15. That's one way of getting Singleas' attention. Whoever would do such a thing?
  16. He doesn't sound too much like a world beater or a program changer, but I guess you never know: "He really can do it all. I think he projects as a very good low D1 prospect.” With summer basketball now over for Black, he has been able to focus more on recruiting. North Florida has extended him his only division I scholarship offer, but he has heard from Eastern Kentucky, South Dakota State, IUPUI, and St. Francis (PA). Division II programs Lewis, Quincy, UIS and St. Joes have all offered. Fresh off of his visit to North Florida, Black narrowed his list of schools down to two lucky finalists: North Florida and Lewis. So in the end I guess we got the best of North Florida (2008-2009: 8-22, 335 RPI, Divison I for 5? years) and a Division II school in Lewis. Maybe I should take some time to digest this, but at face value it looks like a step down in replacement value.
  17. DP and DF with lightning quick updates, forcing an edit... DP: Time to change that avatar, and do you have a link to the Chicago sites? Thanks.
  18. After the replay on TW3 I took the opportunity to review the game tape, and Bob and Bob can be seen rooting for their team both after the interception return for the touchdown and immediately after UAlbany recovered the on-sides kick. It was nice to recognize some loyal faces in the crowd. As for self-promotion, my nephew and I can be prominently seen in the stands behind the eastern end zone after each kicking attempt. Good game, and it was nice to watch the replay of the game at home. Go Danes.
  19. ESPN has the box score up: http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?...90048&confId=25 Nice to see a 70% completion rate by the UAlbany quarterbacks.
  20. At halftime I talked to my father and I encouraged him to get on the UAlbany bandwagon before it was too late. Great win versus a full scholly team. Sorry dad, you are too late....
  21. Statefan, while I know very little about field hockey, I am in the Albany area for some time, and I am interested in the game tonight. I will be going to Sutter's (as always, with my Taiwanese lady-friend in tow), and hopefully we can meet up. I will be on my very best behavior tonight. Regards.
