Saw on Twitter,  that LCC is 355 out of 362 in the power rankings (Pomeroy) and are underdogs in every one of their remaining games.  I always like to say that they are the worst team on our schedule.  I appreciate it when they make that literally true.

Bob...if it lasts for more then 4 hours...call a doctor. I got mine on speed dial...haha.

Can of gas didn't even come out today.

  2. Albany favored by 1pt. Both teams are pretty dreadful. This was supposed to have been the Broadway opener but got moved late summer as we were unsure if arena would be done.

LCC fan board has been reduced to not talking about the basketball product but lamenting how their AD let this be their home game. I guess when the product is complete $iena, that's what's left. They will all be disappointed when the next contract is true home and home as it should be. Their program is many years removed from when it was a competitive product. A low major like LCC doesn't get to dictate to another low major that happens to dwarf them in size, the terms of agreements. Those days are over.

These are two awful basketball teams facing off so may be ugly. Who knows...

  3. A starting 5 if Thomas, Marshall, Neely, Reddish and Beagle is pretty good to be honest with Jackson, Little, Beartrum, Fillien and maybe Amica is not half bad.

I've been impressed with Marshall and Thomas...both are nice. Reddish is also developing into a nice player. Beagle for for now is at the right level for him. He's struggling to start the year it feels.

Since we can now get off the bash the Greg Gattuso bandwagon, we can turn our full attention to the DK bandwagon and bash away.  Third year and still no improvement.

I actually think this is his most talented team ...just not well coached. Marshall, Reddish, Thomas and Beagle is a nice core. They are just consistently lesser then the sum of their parts...

Technically, this game is Albany vs. Army, as the Cool Insuring Arena, is a neutral site.  According to NCAA regulations, a team must play three games in a given season at a particular venue to be consider a home context.  This is the underlying reason why the UVM - UAlbany was played at HVCC instead at the Cool Insuring Arena as originally planned.

    Adjusted...thanks

Really?  Next thing you will be a Guttuso supporter....

That's the difference between you and I. I will cheer for anyone as long as they put the program in position to succeed. With me, program is always first. Even with Gattuso, he wins, HE gets the credit for it. Two good years in 10 years isn't great but we'll see if this year can be a launchpad to something bigger than a one year blip on the rader. If it is, he should get extended if he continues to win etc. If next year he goes back to 3 wins, he should be held accountable for that. You can't have a good year once every 5 or 6 years and expect to keep your job. He may be turning the bend but to early to tell. HIs record here speaks for itself.

It's not personal but mediocrity or worse can only be tolerated so long, I recognize programs eb and flow. People like you will cheer on mediocrity or worse as long as your friends and family get to collect a paycheck even if they are killing the program.

Albany basketball was no longer competitive with the top of the AE, it was not a threat to win the AE, had an awful record against the top of the AE (Vermont), the product was boring. The contract was honored and change was made. I know it upset a lot of folks who put family and friends before the program. Last time I checked, UA doesn't hand out life-time contracts, like I said, the contract was honored and school chose to go in a different direction. The rest is history...jury is out and I know in some eyes maybe the jury is closed on the replacement and a verdict has been reached. To each their own, but doesn't invalidate the a change needed to be made. Of course, in my opinion. All we can hope for us DK starts to move program in the right direction of we'll have a new coach in two years, as we should.

Iati scored 1,142 points in his career at UAlbany, leading the Great Danes to two America East Conference Championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances. He was named the 2004 America East Rookie of the Year, and led the nation in minutes played in 2003-04. He graduated as UAlbany's career leader in games played, while also ranking second and sixth, respectively, in three-pointers made and points scored all-time for the Great Danes in Division I play.

Jon Iati, with the team since 2012, was promoted to associate head coach for the 2017-18 season. He helped UAlbany to six consecutive national postseason appearances, including three consecutive America East Championships from 2013-15.

Sorry  your comment is way off base. You are welcome to your opinion of course. But just two reprints from Jon's bio IMHO seem to say the opposite. IMHO Jon's was an amazing asset to UA both as a player and coach. Could site more but not trying to change your mine; like I said your welcome to your opinion.

No one is diminishing his greatness for UA especially as a player. He's an all-timer here... But to prescribe to him the success of UML as if he's the head coach is silly. I'm sure he is an asset to UML and at some point HC'ng is probably in his future as it should be. He always was a sharp basketball mind.

But this is a ridiculous comment... "Well, what would expect when they have Jon Iati as one of their assistant coaches.

In Jon's tenure as associate head coach #2 (promoted 2017-18 season) on the staff UA went 40-36 in the AE. The last 3 years of his time here UA was sub .500.

To prescribe to him and solely him the success of UML is nothing more then continued cult of personality worship of years gone-bye.  I hope to see him a HC one day. I have no doubt he is an asset to UML and honestly, not sure if it would ever happen but would not mind seeing him get a shot at UA. I think he has the temperament and the basketball mind to be a HC and probably fairly soon. I'm a Iati fan, he and Brent Wilson were 2 of my favorites both of whom I believe are a credit to the Will Brown coaching tree and will at some point be D1 HC's.

Just so there is no confusion, my comment was directed at him being the reason for UML's early success. That's it...
