1. Depends on location and availability of tickets - my daughter may have to find her own way home from New Paltz for spring break on the 17th, or my wife will have to get her without my help.

What is the availability of season tickets for next year? Will I be able to get something in the chair back section first couple of rows? When do they start selling them?

  2. I attended a game at another institution, and the officials there pasted (yes, with masking tape) seat numbers right on the bleachers. So then the fan matched the number (Row #, Seat #) on his ticket with the tape on the bleachers.

I have no idea what UAlbany will do, but my scenario might be a possibility.

The RACC bleechers already have seat/row numbers on the bleechers. I'm fairly certain of that.

  3. Does anyone have reliable info on seating arrangements outside of chairbacks? Its hard to imagine ushers will be able to make sure everyone is sitting where they should be.

I asked the ticket agent when I was purchasing my tickets on Tuesday and was told that they are assigned. How they enforce the seating will be interesting.

  4. I can see your case for Mikus and Sanders but I think generally underclassmen don't get the benefit of the doubt in cases like that. I admit I wasn't as impressed with Mikus as a freshman as some other people were but she really improved this year. 14th in scorind, 6th in assists and 2nd in steals-pretty good year for a sophmore.

    DanePound,

I was kind of joshing her and it got a little out of hand. My appologies!!!

    Danes84,

Even though I dissagree with your reasoning I didn't mean for this to get out of control. You are not delusional! Sorry for egging you on! I must say you are pretty entertaining

  5. NOT YOUNG???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME...LOOK AT THE ROSTER, THE TEAM IS STACKED WITH SOPHMORES, REDSHIRT PLAYERS...THEY WILL HAVE ONLY TWO SENIORS NEXT YEAR AS WELL. 9 PLAYERS WHO ARE EITHER SOPHMORE'S OR FROSH...

YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT KNOW JACK SQUAT ABOUT THIS TEAM...your a moron plain and simple

i'm not even saying mikus should have made it...she was a long shot, ill admit that.

It is Sanders that im upset about. She should have been on the defensive team

    12669

And the reason for that is that every team should have at least one person with an award??? Or was it becaue her numbers won us so many games???

Wow...you are passionate!!!! I'll give you that!!

  7. your every UAlbany Basketball fan and alumni's dream...great to have a fan like you at the game saturday...

    12665

You on the other hand are completely DELUSIONAL and think that a team with a record of 7-20 and 3-13 in the conference is “young” how about they suck. You are in no position to question my loyalty to the program. And as for the last part of your post, it's just silly.

  8. you said you where early for mens games...so you stayed for the entire 2.5 hrs to watch the the womens game, or the final 5-10 minutes? EXACTLY WHAT I SAID

    12662

There’s your problem…you ASSumed that I was there for only 5-10 minutes. I like to come way early and I typically watch the second half.

  9. and thus you have proven my point...bravo...the football team finished 5-6, and started the season with a bad record...they suck also? please...some UA fan

    12660

This isn’t kindergarten!!!! It is what it is….they are a terrible team with a terrible record. The few times I saw them play they got BLOWN OUT!!!!! Maybe they are young or what ever. But they are terrible, the record speaks for itself.

  10. 2 seniors, and one of the youngest mid major teams in the country...we didnt suck, we were inexperienced...LOOK AT SANDERS STATS...SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THAT ALL-DEFENSIVE TEAM...

typical people who look just at our record....go watch a gam ebefore you mock them.

    12657

On several occasions I was early for a UAlbany men’s game and had the “privilege” to watch the women play. They suck!!

  11. Check this link out....

Just found it, the video on the right!!

He looks like he has a "decent" handle on the ball, he won't have to bring it up with us. Seems like a nice kid to, hope he has a bit of a killer instinct. Seems to moves pretty good. From that short clip it looks like the coaches will have some talent to work with.

  12. Top ten reasons the RACC is better then the Pepsi

    1. Its on campus; you don't have to take a bus to get there

    2. Parking is easier and cheeper then it is downtown, hey its free if you don't mind a little walk.

    3. No matter your angle you can see everything thats going on.

    4. 4,586 In a smaller gym is louder then 7,000 in a large arena

    5. Its been our home court for over a decade

    6. We have UAlbany Banners that show our NCAA DIII success, and our all time winningiest coach.  If we went to the Pepsi we would need to burn the Aints banners to clean up the place.

    7.  Mid Court in big leaders UAlbany.  Need I say more

    8.  If you buy bleacher seats you can sit where ever you would like.

    9.  We can acctually storm the court if we want with out security being a-holes

    10. The Pepsi Arena is ment for Hockey Games, The RACC is for BASKETBALL.

    12635

The bleecher seats are still assigned, you CANNOT sit where ever you want!!!

  13. Its hard to say, I think our biggest need is another pg who can back up Lillis.  Looking at our history most signing's in the spring are JUCO.  But who knows, we still have alot of depth and Wilson has grown into a decent point guard.

BTW did Courtny or Kiel ever transfer from UA?

    12582

That's actually a good question. What happened to Graham? He was a Juco transfer 6'9 220, I never seen him or heard anything about him since he was anounced as signed for this upcoming season. He was with the team when they played UCLA and then fell off the face of the earth.

  14. I think with Lillis and Wilson & Iati able to give us minutes at the point.

I would like to see a 6'6"/6'7" athletic foward who is a bigtime athletic rebounder and a slasher can take it strong to the hoop from the perimeter.

That's asking alot but with our recent surge - UA may be more attractive than in the past.

    12585

I would honestly hold it. If you bring in 5 guys in one year most of them will probably sit. In four years you’ll have 5 guys leaving your program, this would create a huge void. I like the thought of bringing in a number of quality players year in and year out. Every year 3 or 4 guys, that way the scholarship isn’t wasted sitting on the bench for 2 or 3 years.

    12586

Edit....unless they can get a real stud. Don't get me wrong, they should still look and see whats available.
