  1. You guys are something else!!!! really! Nuff said! I am done with your negativity!! So long!
  2. I post the offers ONLY when UAlbany has made an offer [I did post a couple of extras - sorry]. I also post videos of each kid we have actually made an offer to so YOU can look at them. For the life of me I can not see how that is confusing at all. If you aren't interested then DON'T look at them. I also comment if / when they actually commit. No arm twisting!! Sorry but I fail to see why this is a problem. As I said if you are not interested in looking at the kids we are recruiting or are confused then don't look!!!! What the.... is your problem?
  3. Not what he meant. i think he was referring to the offense by the way. Def needs to be FAR MORE aggressive.
  4. Actually if you watch the kid's videos when they are recruiting they all CAN tackle. May need to develop a more 'reckless and abandon' type attitude with them or recruit more kids that have that type of mentality. I personally think Sweeney is too easy on the linemen. Too easy going. He needs to get angry at them!
  5. Don't agree on many of them. They still keep going after small sized guys. Gotta stop that and get bigger DB. Which they are next year. LB's that are recruited are still small. Don't see many big , FAST Linemen coming in either. THAT is a problem. Part of it is getting guys to come into a program that is maybe on the brink but maybe isn't and that hasn't gotten to the finish line. Do kids want to come to UA??
  6. I was out at a function all day and did not see the game, listened to the 4th on the radio. Sounds like O and D lines are terrible still. Coaches need to get angry at the players at this point. Get in their butts. I am not sure what happened in the 2nd or 3rd. Punt return and turnover return I heard. On our Alum texting someone said the score once again does not completely reflect the game. I have no idea. I did heard VT get sacked a couple of times as well as the sub QB's when they went in. RI can not be that much better!!!!!!!!! All I am going to say.
  7. I'm top 300. Gotta be some others making big donations the last year. I was top 150 and still made the same donation as I have for years. I Have parking in SEFCU lot.
  8. Committed Players in next year's class so far Elijah Ayers; Springfield, MA; CB, 6'3 180 Jackson Ambush; Frederick, MD; OLB, FB, 6' 1" 200 lbs Garrett Bledsoe; Cincinnati, OH; MLB, FB 6' 0" 210 lbs Christian Lewis, Farrell, PA RB, CB, 6'0" 185 lbs: 4.6 40 - Darren Fields, FS, CB 6'3" 187 lbs Rickey Gamble, Rochester, NY, WR, DB, 5'9" 160 lbs 4.47 40, WR I am NOT sure why they still go after kids like Gamble. Sure he is quick - NOT real FAST and very small. Just do not understand it. Lewis is kinda small for a RB in our league and only runs a 4.6 Watching his videos does give encouragement though. Seems to be able to find the hole quickly. Bledsoe and Ambush are each more small LB's. Pretty quick laterally though.

  11. Upstate lacrosse constantly has news about Syracuse and Cornell. This is what pisses me off . Where the hell is Marr promoting UA????? Time to start promoting UA!!!
  12. I have a function and will miss this one. Hope I can see it on replay. In any case here is an e-mail I just got the the CAA commissioner https://webmail.roadrunner.com/do/mail/message/view?msgId=INBOXDELIM400906 Sorry it is not appearing and I can't bring it up

  14. I would suspect that most kids have their minds on the task at hand. Their senior year of FB. Likely will not be any more commitments until the end of the season. My thought anyway.
  15. Yep so why isn't there posted on the official site so we have some idea what's going on?
  16. Hard to believe that any of the teams coming up on the schedule are on the same level as Pitt so optimism should be high.
  17. Not shooting you I KNOW what they said, BUT that is NOT accurate. They can always review any questionable play, see it in other college games all the time. You have a hardon for the coach, just admit it, you don't like him. Not going to change anything. So move one.
  18. Fact is NOT an excuse my friend!!! Monday night QB's with no real knowledge at it again I see!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Sorry NOT excuses from me anyway. Just some realism! Some of you seem to have no understanding of playing a top FBS program at all. The differences are incredible, especially the speed. AND the depth of players with that speed, 2nd and 3rd stringers at that level are on scholarship. Those 21 additional scholarships make a HUGE difference. Our 2nd and 3rd stringer are typically walk ons. Go check out the scores nationwide of FCS programs playing top level FBS programs yesterday. WOW! By the way, 6 years is NOT a huge amount of time in a new league at a much more competitive level. The difference between the old conference we were in and the CAA is as stark as that between us now and an FBS program. Give me a break!
  20. By the way. We have had a new offensive coordinator since January and the new playbook in front of the team since spring season. As per reporting it is very complicated, in front of an ACC crowd at an ACC stadium, you gotta understand that they were nervous and excited. ALL of the early penalties on the line and confusion was because of that. Come on!!!!!!!!!
  21. Eli. The officials can do a review on any TD any time, NOT ONLY when a coach asks for it. I saw a later game where they reviewed a catch on the sideline when the coach never asked. No idea why they didn't on that one. UA has been screwed a couple of times over the last couple of years by officials not reviewing. That is the job of the one in the press box. It was an obvious NO TD. Would have been 4th down. Who knows how that would have affected the outcome of the game if at all. Can't blame the Gatusso for ANY of those time outs. Clock was running to nothing NOT because of him but he made the decisions. MOST teams have the most of the playbook in at the start the season. Never heard of a playbook being 'bare' in years of coaching!!!! If you look back with an open mind at last season, a total of 24 points and we would have won 4 more games.
  22. Albany 7 Pitt 33 1st Downs 16 21 3rd down efficiency 5-13 6-9 4th down efficiency 0-1 0-0 Total Yards 323 407 Passing 263 169 Comp-Att 18-29 17-23 Yards per pass 9.1 7.3 Interceptions thrown 2 1 Rushing 60 238 Rushing Attempts 28 37 Yards per rush 2.1 6.4 Penalties 7-40 6-55 Turnovers 2 2 Fumbles lost 0 1 Interceptions thrown 2 1 Possession 30:26 27:25
  23. You do NOT change your offense for one opponent or situation, ESPECIALLY when playing up. I think you are nit picking. The Pitt Def is a top 41 FBS rushing Def. giving up less than 142 yds per game rushing last year. And that standing includes ALL FSB schools, all conferences [even the Buffalos and Old Dominions who play weaker opponents week in and week out than the ACC Schools do]. Pitt plays in the ACC. Some real powerhouse programs. We were able to pass against them fairly easily. When competing against our league we will LOOK much better and be better. Let's see how they do this year AND how we do before making such judgements.
