Football Season Survey
alum73 replied to Eli's topic in Fall Sports-Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Cross-Country, Field Hockey
Also annoying question about my relationship to UA. Only allowed one answer; when season ticket holder, alumni ,donor and more would all apply. Yes I said other and then listed several of the choices, plus another that they didn't list. -

Let's play two today? -
Hopefully Imani is back soon, but I can't help but think the additional playing time for the other players is going to pay dividends down the road.

Albany (3-2) - Albany Cup 2016 - Sun 11/27 @ 7PM
alum73 replied to Eli's topic in Winter Sports-Danes Hoops, Track
Agreed. All-Time series is now 34-23 (Siena). The DI series is in favor of Siena 10-6, with Albany winning 4 of the last 5, and 5 of the last 7. The series (DI years) is as follows: 2001- Siena (by 12) 2002- Siena (by 4) 2003- Siena (by 21) 2004- Albany (by 21) 2005- Siena (OT) 2006- Siena (Double OT) 2007- Siena (By four) 2008- Siena (By seven) 2009- Siena (by nineteen) 2010- Albany (OT) 2011- Siena (by four) 2012- Albany (by thirteen) 2013- Albany (by 12) 2014- Albany (by 9) 2015- Siena (by 8) 2016- Albany Considering Albany didn't make its mark (winning the AE) until 2005, that's a fair point to say when the program "arrived". Since that time, Siena is 7-5 against the Danes, including 2-1 in OT's. But again, we are 5-2 in the last 7 years. I'd have to think with what we have returning, and they have coming back, we are clear favorites for next season (on paper). Suffice to say, this is an even match-up...no matter what their fans think. If we don't get a home-and-home...drop the series. We did beat them once when they were D1 and we were D3. -

Great season. Trevor has really turned this program around. -
Wright and Clareth are both good. 4 starters back from a good team. It won't be easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.
-
I thought Nichols got beat defensively quite a bit. We ended up in a zone part of the time. I don't think the team has played very much good defense. Rowley is not that bad except for picking up too many fouls. Some are very ticky tack. I'm hoping he works that out. I agree some of the passes ending up as turnovers are lazy or just ill advised. There are just too many of those.

NCAA Playoffs

I'm disappointed for the Srs., but overall it was a good season. I've been bringing different people to games this season. They've generally had a good time and some have already attended multiple games. We have a long way to go in spreading our product to the local community. It's way better than the previous AD, but still miles to go for marketing and communication. Aside: loved the music at the pregame. -

Hey, I'm good....it's the UA boys I'm worried about! Every silver lining has a cloud for you! -
Maybe I am a little too old school, but as this is D1 I have a few requirements in a coach: -Motivation: Cares more about winning and the growth of their program than their own paycheck. -Character: Can personally defend their on-field losses and personal shortcomings without relying on others to do so for them, particularly when it is done in a sneaky and secretive manner. -Professionalism: Behaves and dresses in a professional and respectable manner when coaching. -Marketing: Is available and courteous to the media, and views these interactions as an opportunity to promote the university and the program as a whole, and not just as a means to personal achievement. -Legacy: Does not recruit and retain student athletes whose behavior and actions potentially damage the reputation of the university. You violate one of those, and I drop my support until corrections are made. Over gum chewing? Seems a bit harsh. I mean it's not like she stole our stadium seats! Really. Maybe she was just biting her tongue! It's a good practice.

Penalty Kick wit 61 seconds left, and UA sweeps AE in soccer! Well done! -
Looks like Tiana Jo just went out with a concussion.

Bought 2 tickets Monday. It looked like there were only 8 or 9 chairback seats available on my side of the arena.

I think it is as far back as they have records. The lcc fans who just fell off their bandwagon and got season tickets for the first tine this season would be at the bottom of that list I don't think it goes back totally. They probably only have records back 9 years. That's what I have credit for. I know I've had season tickets longer than we've been D1. They use all your priority points, not just those for season tickets.

Interested to see our women playing man to man defense. They've always played zone under coach Abe. -
Can I send you a check, rather than go thru the site?

FIFY Your hopes and prayers are dully noted. After 7 games, this is what we are (at QB). It's not like we're dropping down to playing D2 teams the rest of the way...these are all still D1 teams, in the CAA conference. Good luck to the boys. I guess miracles can happen. There you go!!
