Speculation but maybe all of the assistant coaches leaving was a sign. They all allegedly witnessed this and now they are all gone?

Beagle was 3-6. The rest of the team 11-12 from the line. But missed our last 5 3’s.

Same thing happened in both exhibitions, a disturbing pattern.
We actually outrebounded Towson.. Did the 2nd-half three-pointers ease all the early concerns about our shooting?
32% on the game? Had a good stretch the missed a bunch.
-
I love box scores:
oddity- our 2 (of 3) starting guards combined for 2 points, 0 assists, and 3 TO’s. Then they got little run in the 2nd half.

This loss is on Hutcheson. WTF IS HE DOING? Did he make one pass after the ball came to him all game? Just chuckin and chuckin and chuckin. Kid is the least athletic kid on any basketball court in America and runs like his feet have weights strapped to em. I know he's an upperclassmen but I liked him more when he was just there for rebounds and crap. He SHOULD NOT be our primary shooter. EVER. 9 f'in shot attempts. He should take 3-4. TOPS.
I don’t like that he took 9-3’s but he had 6RB’s, 2 blocks, and a steal. Foot speed isn’t great but he’s got some hop.

I’m cautiously excited for this team.

Good effort. But it came down to missed foul shots and some missed 3’s down the stretch
Slow start killed us. Shot ok from the line, 78%?

An ill prepared/informed fan boy.
He was right on one thing “Albany won’t lose a lot of games in The Big South this year”!

The 2nd announcer is terrible.

Beagle is MILES ahead of any true frosh big we've ever had. Closest player to come on that quickly was in D2, Andre Duncan.
Yes, Brent Wilson was REALLY good as a frosh...but he was a completely different player. Beagle is making some errors that are "speed of the game" errors That will all slow down for him.
Loved Duncan and McGoldrick

They keep battling.

I want to see them play better defense in the 2nd half. Also cut down on the turnovers and bad shots. That's what I'll be looking for in the 2nd half.
Agree. Too many TO’s any many were “bad TO’s”.

Early thoughts:
1. Beagle will be very, very good
2. Drumgoole could be a solid glue guy/gets you what you need when you need it guy.
3. Reddish is about a year away from, I personally think, breaking out. He does some things well, and some not so well (including the charge just now). The talent is there but going back to 1882...he needs to be coached up. He gets coached up and listens to it, he can be really solid.
4. Every single guard is a mess but for Patel. Edmead seriously looks like a walk-on. Amica has made about 4 bonehead plays. Evans continuing the St. Rose "drive into a mass of bodies" and / or go run ahead of my whole team causing a reverse "numbers" issue.
5. Except for Reddish and Evans, not a single guy can put the ball on the floor and drive on Towson.
6. Neely changes this team...we are likely looking at a 5-7 differential right now.
Won't judge after one half...but some of these things are holdovers from last year and they need to be fixed. This is Killings year to grow as a coach. And he MUST go out and get another big in the portal. We have a frosh coming in...but we need some height for next year.
I was thinking the same on 2 & 6 above. Neely changes a lot. And 1, like Beagle after the early travel.

Troubling trends emerging with DK's recruiting...brutal shooting teams. They are athletic but absolutely can't shoot....
Was going to ask the experts who are are 3 point threats? Trey clearly has the green light again but he’s not it (I hope).

Ugly so far and I still hate the transfer portal.

Anyone receive their second email about ordering advanced siena game tickets yet? The previous email said the next day. That was a couple of days ago.
I did not. I've reached out via email this morning.

Heavily carried by Coach Vives and the track teams. As for the far right column Track doesn’t have regular season champs or we’d have some there too (agree we need some others to step up here).

17 in a row for the men and 13 in a row for the women. To use one of Coach Vives favorite quotes “They did the incredible”. Tons of PR’s, school records, and at least one meet record.

For me it is the people who run the parking. It's atrocious. People not knowing that you need to be a season ticket holder to go to the Sefcu lot. Holding up the line. It's really bad. Have someone out front to direct people !!!!!! It's not that hard.
The athletic department has to see this and the fact they do nothing about it is mind boggling. Simple things like this are the reason I dislike our AD.
And simply move the people scanning the tickets into the driveway a bit. This would allow traffic to flow for those needing to get to Dutch and make left turns into the lot more feasible.
This stuff is so easy.

I would agree D3 to D1 is, or can be, a big jump. At the same time I would say D3 All-American to the America East isn't that big of a leap.

For a second let’s believe the Twitter account.
Do they think everyone is really stupid? 5 games and a fine for accidental contact? Throw some anger management and take away his office too? For accidental contact? Please.

If this is the result don’t they still need some transparency here? I know they’ll try to hide behind the “it’s a personnel matter”, but this is different no?
How do we as a fan base get (back) behind DK without details?
How do recruits, and their parents, send their kids here without understanding what did/didn’t happen?

Everyone's reactions to this latest wrinkle says more about them than the leaders who are rallying. I don't think that there's any indication that they're excusing the physical altercation that was reported, but you're kidding yourself if you think that a first time coach, especially if he's Black, is going to receive the same level of due process as a fifteen year veteran white coach. There's a two tiered system of justice in this country whether it is criminal or part of an internal HR investigation.
Frankly, it is either naive or willfully ignorant to think that DK isn't more likely to be thrown to the wolves to save the jobs of the folks in the athletic department who seem to have committed the more grave sin of covering up whatever incident may have happened.
I’ll zig where others zag. There’s a fair chance the administration (including Benson) treated this with kid gloves because he’s a minority. Afraid of this exact reaction. I’ll go ahead and consider myself neither naive or willfully ignorant thank you.

I think it’s better to get out than stay. Now they can say “I told the University what I knew, they took an action I wasn’t comfortable with and I left”.
