  1. Yes hands down. This team would destroy any other team ever. The athleticism and team speed I off the charts.
  2. Its amazing that the elevator tower is going to be 80+ feet high from the top of the wall that is there now. Its going to look even bigger walking into the stadium from the SEFCU lot because you'll have to walk up stairs just to get to the mezzanine level.
  3. I think so too but I'm not 100% sure. That is one of the things that makes it easily expandable.
  4. Actually a little longer than goal line to goal line as the top of the lower bowl bows out.
  5. The tower is going to be something like 80 feet high. That's going to be create the feel of a big-time stadium. Most stadium of this capacity are just bleachers on either side. This will field substantially different.
  6. Any bets on if the old soccer scoreboard will be down by Saturday? Wasn't shown on the prelim sketches, but maybe they'll just leave it there as a secondary scoreboard. Or save it and move it. Or not. BTW the Fuller Road roundabout was scheduled to open today. Anyone know if it's ready? It's coming down. It's right in the way of the player ramp to run down onto the field.
  7. North endzone bowl is really starting to take shape today. Turning the corner on the trench which appears to be holding the lower stadium wall. Also - OT - Stony Brook had 10,000+ at their homecoming this week. Even more proof this level of football can draw a great crowd. I'm excited that we can do the same.
  8. Blah polls today except for AGS. Looks right about where I would put us.
  9. We're very highly ranked by the computers this year. Mostly due to YSU's ranking. Massey Comparison has us 14th and YSU 1st http://masseyratings.com/cf/compare1aa.htm This is definitely the most favorable the computers have ever viewed us. That will drop like a rock once we get into conference play though I think.
  10. Looks today like they are putting up the forms for the base of the elevator tower. They have also staked out the North Endzone bowl to start the real excavation and build-up of the bowl. That will make a huge visual difference. I can't wait to see that tower start to rise out of the ground.
  11. These polls are so screwed up. Oh well. Lets win this week and move.
  12. I've been told that us still possible and even that it would be "easy" as all the pieces would be modular and brought in. All the heavy site work is supposedly still being done now. Take that for what's its worth.
  13. Looks like they may be digging the footings for the bottom of the lower level of seats.
  14. Hard to tell what that is they are building, but I assume its the foundation for the tower. Seems like it is far enough back to string the upper stands from the top of that retaining wall to the top of the tower if it sat on top of that foundation.
  15. Meh.....does nothing for me on paper. That doesn't mean a darn thing though. Hopefully it works out.
  16. Notre Dame to the ACC may have a big impact on who joins the CAA, IMO. I am specifically thinking of what happens to App State. If, for whatever reason, the Big East looks towards CUSA for an all sports replacement, I have to think CUSA will immediately look at App State. If not, App State is basically stuck in the FCS for a while and I could see them moving all-sports to the CAA. A long shot, but still possible IMO.
  17. Good guess. Thanks! I'm learning how to read construction designs by watching this. I do wish there was another camera angle from the top of the SEFCU arena. It would be cool to see the back view. (Not a complaint....I'm ecstatic they put up any camera).
  18. Its between the lower section and the upper section. If you zoom in you can see cutouts at various points along the top of the wall. I believe those are where the aisles of the lower section will be. And I wish that was a beer tent.
  19. Forms are coming down this morning. Today we'll see the very first signs of a permanent structure. I think the wall being built is this one: But that is just a guess.
  20. Looks like they made athletics more prominent too in the calendar.
  21. Yep, it looks like several loads of dirt has been dumped on the end there... So, you think they might build the entire endzone bowl section in this phase, seats and all? Not seats, but a grassy berm. The plans also call for concessions and wheel chair seating at the top of the berm. It looks like everything will be ready to just drop concerate seats into the grassy hill in the endzone when needed. Right Berm Left Berm (Notice the BBQ Tent
  22. It would be cool if they took the nets down off the fence by Fallon field for homecoming.
