  1. I belief it's 57 over the preceding two seasons, meaning we'd probably have to wait until 15. We might get one anyway though evn before we're a counter. The CAA badge lends credibility that will help.
  2. We can compete, but I expect a 6-6 or 5-7 season. It's a 12 game year. I believe we are adding a full scholarship class next year to get to 50ish scholarships. That will add depth and we might get some Juco transfers. We need to stock up on defense.
  3. Wagner pulls out a first round win over Colgate in dominating fashion. On the road next week to Eastern Washington. That's going to be a tough tough game on the Inferno red turf. Great win for the NEC though. Stony Brook is playing Villanova on ESPN3 right now.
  4. I'd pick an Ivy like Yale. Name recognition and some travelling fan base. Maybe even an HBCU like Grambling or Southern. Get us a good band for halftime!
  5. Some of you might know, but a few of us football alumni put together an official Football Alumni Association this year, including Ruler and I that I know of that post on here. The group is a consituency group of the greater UA Alumni Association. Our first event was the tent in the endzone at Homecoming which I'm sure some of you saw. We have now launched our website: www.ualbanyfootballalumni.org. I thought I'd post it here in case there were any football alumni lurking that hasn't received any communciations from us yet. Check it out!
  6. This will likely trickle down to FCS football once the ACC moves. ACC will probably raid the Big East for UCONN and the Big East will then either look to the mid-majors for a school like UMass or to CUSA. If the MAC or CUSA need to backfill, Liberty, App State, Georgia Southern, James Madison are waiting and ready.
  7. We finish the regular season ranked 22nd in the AGS poll. 1 North Dakota State Bison 1698 (66) 2 Montana State Bobcats 1584 (2) 3 Eastern Washington Eagles 1511 4 Old Dominion Monarchs 1506 5 Sam Houston State Bearkats 1327 6 Georgia Southern Eagles 1267 7 Appalachian State Mountaineers 1255 8 Central Arkansas Bears 1250 9 Cal Poly Mustangs 1105 10 Wofford Terriers 1006 11 Villanova Wildcats 866 12 Stony Brook Seawolves 844 13 Richmond Spiders 802 14 Illinois State Redbirds 782 15 New Hampshire Wildcats 769 16 South Dakota State Jackrabbits 764 17 Towson Tigers 683 18 Lehigh Mountain Hawks 509 19 Northern Arizona Lumberjacks 460 20 James Madison Dukes 419 21 Eastern Kentucky Colonels 318 22 Albany Great Danes 273 23 Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 247 24 Indiana State Sycamores 181 25 Colgate Raiders 176
  8. FYI - Drew ended up 4th in scoring with 19 total TDs for 11.4 pts per game. A great accomplishment to end a great career. He could get a chance on Sunday's next year.
  9. Stony Brook could lose in the first game or win it all. Nothing would surprise me. Wagner could beat Colgate but either team is going to get killed by Eastern Washington in the second round.
  10. Agreed. Lots of things to be proud of this season. Great way to go out of the NEC. 9-2 is nothing to hang your head on. Up and away from here!
  11. I hate that we have no control over this. Did it to ourselves though.
  12. Looks like Doscher is back in but with a heavily taped ankle. Duquesne can't move the ball very well but as we saw last week they can score quickly. If they can hold Wagner I feel good.
  13. Wagner QB Doscher is ou with an injury! Not that its good t see a guy hurt but he is the whole Wagner offense.
  14. 2nd half of the Wagner game. I had thrown my computer out the window by then.
  15. http://www.timesunion.com/sports/article/Danes-come-to-a-crossroad-4045609.php Lots of Ford retiring speculation. I don't buy it, but I wouldn't be surprised.

  17. I think Duquense can beat Wagner. Wagner of the first half against us was an abhoration, IMO.
  18. This will move fast now although I think they'll need about 10 more trailers full.
  19. Game Notes and Coach's Corner are up: http://www.ualbanysports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=205737984&DB_OEM_ID=15800 The Duquesne @ Wagner game will be streamed free online at http://necfrontrow.com/webcast.php/WC-246/
