Of course Marist had a tough schedule -- they played the Great Danes! And lost by the way.

The NCAA website has the Danes hosting the first round of the NCAA's this Thursday and Friday. Siena is in the same bracket. UAlbany will play St. John's (30-4) and Siena will play #10 Minnesota. Hopefully they'll use the RACC. -
Let's hear it for SEFCU and especially their president, Michael Castellana, who is a UAlbany alum and a regular at the basketball games. $2.75 Million is huge!

And here's a link to Gloversville's Leader Hearld article: http://www.leaderherald.com/sports/article...?articleID=3259 -
Let's not forget the AE Conference Championship. Both that and the NCAA game were more exciting than last year's Siena game.

Prior to this game, all the analysis was that Albany's only chance would be to hit their 3's, because UConn was too strong inside for Albany. The fact that Brown figured out a way to actually have an inside game was Brilliant. Made all the difference. -
Yeah, I'm a T&F alum. Actually more of an XC alum, under R. Keith Munsey, or as he liked to refer to himself, GLC (Greatest Living Coach). My name is a clue to my era.

Andy Goodemote, who played for Sauers in 1987-90, is quoted at the end of the TU article. It mentions that he is now the head coach at Utica College. I checked their website and they're going to the DIII Sweet Sixteen this Friday. They have a tough opponent in nationally-ranked St. John Fisher, which has already defeated Utica three times this year. Good luck Andy! P.S. Hi Hep.

The article pasted above doesn't mention that Joe Greene ran even faster in the 400M final the next day, setting a school record of 47.41, which qualifies provisionally for the NCAAs. That's a very fast time. This is a link to photos from the IC4A meet:http://www.prettysporty.com/racesindex.html There are no captions, but if you look through, you'll see pictures of Gered Burns winning the 800, the 4x400 relay team and others.

LI could be a tough opponent tomorrow nite. They're 2-2 and their two wins are against the two teams the Danes lost to. They beat Lehigh in their opener 66-56 and beat Wagner by 20 (93-73) last Saturday. James Williams seems to be their go-to guy, scoring at a 14.0 pace. See you at St. Rose tomorrow to cheer on the Danes!
