Tuesday Trivia

Dane Pound

I honestly don't know if that's right or not UA66. I'm not sure about the national championship part for Demeo.

I had someone else in mind although it would be great if there were two people who fit that decription at UA.

Dane Pound, is the question about a former player at UA who then coached at UA? Do national championships refer to NCAA titles?

Dane 96, I don't know if DeMeo went to UA but I believe his AAU teams won some national titles. He was a coach of US National Greco Roman Wrestling team. Again, I am not sure but I think one or more of his wrestlers won medals at the Olympics. Time to look into the archives of UA athletics.

I probably should have been more clear.

This person is a former player at UA. As far as I know they didn't coach at UA but they've coached at other colleges. The national championships they've won do refer to NCAA titles.

Yes it is VanDerveer. Very impressive Daneman I thought that question was a stumper.

VanDerveer transferred after a season or two to Indiana. I don't know where she began her coaching career but I know she was at Ohio State and of course, Stanford.
