New RACC Floor

I'm not sure I like what I saw of it on Fox23news.com. Couldn't go to the game. In the preview story you can see that on the side of the court it says "The RACC", which is cool.

 

But what happened to all the purple in the 3-point arc?? That is what set that floor apart from others around the country ... they moved the America East symbol to the coaching box lines, which is fine (they must not like Scooby Doo), and the new UAlbany A in the middle is nice ... but the paint is ... well paint. It's yellow and nothing in it, nothing around it. The purple in the arc was classy, and it showed our colors well. I think the floor looks boring now.

 

Anyone can tell me what the end lines said? I'm hoping that one said Great Danes ... they used to both (I think) say University at Albany ...

One end does say "Great Danes" and the other says "Siena Sucks!"

 

Just kidding, the other end says UAlbany. I liked the purple too. I guess they can alway repaint it if they need too. I wonder why they changed it.

I think the purple three point arc was cheesy and glad to see it gone. The new floor is classy.
