1. Did anyone catch the Finals of the AEast and see Barea punch Hehn in the face two times? How do the refs let him stay in the game?

 

2. Of all the teams for Vermont to play in the first round, they get Cuse, whose 2-3 zone will give them fits. They may need to put Taylor at the foul line and make him shoot jumpers until Cuse opens up down low.

Second year in a row they draw a tough opponent. Last year, UConn gave them fits because they tried to draw Okafor out away from the hoop with Coppenrath playing on the outside, and they ended up having no interior defense and giving the Huskies uncontested layups.

 

Barea should have been ejected. And then, its my understanding, the refs reviewed the play on monitors and still allowed play to continue. Awful.

Pretty sure it was Klimes who got punched. I thought he and the rest of Vermont did a nice job of keeping their composure and not retaliating. Cheap shot(s) by Barea. I thought Everhart might look at the tape of that after the game and issue a team suspension similar to what Brown did with Levi earlier in the season.

 

I watched the MAAC championship game and enjoyed Bill Rafferty and Jay Bilas broadcast that game. I was hoping they would get the AE game too. Instead we got Jason Williams who must be the kind of self-reference. He's a very good player but I think they might be better off hiring Levi to do the coverage next year.

 

Vermont-Syracuse should be fun. Vermont can put 5 guys on the floor who can shoot the 3 and really other than Mcnamara Syracuse doesn't have alot of outside shooting. I think your right about Coppenrath, he's got to make some shots from the outside because Warrick can probably handle him inside.
