Men's Lacrosse Moves up in Rankings

Despite the Hopkins loss, the Mens team moved to 13th in the Coaches Poll. I havent seen the media poll yet, however ranked 18th in the media poll. Still in the Top 20 however.

 

If things falls correctly...even if they dont win the Conference Tournament lets say, they are looking at a possible at-large spot into the NCAA Tournament

no way. they would have to beat Syracuse to have the outside chance at an at-large bid

RPI is now 12, but with games vs. 40ish UVM and Q before Syracuse. Strength Of Schedule is 27th, so I don't think there's an at-large this year, or any time until we also schedule and beat some ACC teams as well as SU or Hop.

I'd have to think if they won the conference tourney it would get them a better opening round game. If I remember correctly they only seed the top couple of teams out of 16. I forget what Syracuse was seeded last year but it was pretty high. Hopefully a higher RPI would get Albany an "easier" first round game should they make the tournament.

Sometimes I think they like to schedule the games regionally when they can. I don't think RPI matters to much. The America East Conference is not strong enough.

Not strong enough but tougher than it's been with two teams in the top 20. I thought one of the reasons UMBC was brought in was to raise the profile of the conference in lacrosse.

if it wasnt for Binghamton not having a bad team this year for some reason, it would be...Stony Brook and UMBC are legit top 30 teams if not higher. Binghamton was not suppose to be this bad.
