Maine swept Albany Friday afternoon on the softball diamond 5-1 and 9-0.

That's quite a streak.

 

I'm just dumbfounded that Maine managed to score 14 runs vs. Albany pitching. I think that Maine has flown under the radar in AE softball the past few seasons. All the talk has centered around perenial powerhouses Boston U and Albany, and UMBC's incredible season (although they've come back to Earth since they started league play) If Albany, BU, or Maine had a steady diet of MEAC and NEC teams like the Retrievers have had.....we'd all have 30+ wins too!

Albany bounced back Staurday with a 5-1 victory to move back into a tie for first place
