I'm excited because it should be a great day, hopefully the weather gods are with us this year.

On behalf of the University at Albany's Department of Athletics, I welcome you back to campus for 2006 Homecoming and Family Weekend on October 20-22. It's a great time to be a Great Dane! On Friday, three former athletes will be inducted into the UAlbany Athletic Hall of Fame. Dawn Di Micco '00, Scott Price '69 and Steve Shoen '81 will join a select company of student-athletes who are enshrined for their prowess both on and off the field of play. Saturday's schedule includes the homecoming football game with Northeast Conference-rival St. Francis, Pa. and the women's field hockey team's America East Conference game with Boston University. In addition, you will also have a chance to view our America East championship men's basketball team conduct their annual Purple-Gold scrimmage. Have an enjoyable weekend on the UAlbany campus.
