Coach & Website

Recommended Posts

Coach Brown added another entry to his website tonight:

http://www.coachwillbrown.com/thoughts.html

This entry is the first addition since his comments on the brutal schedule.

To summarize:

(1) He's glad he and the team survived the difficult 6-game schedule in 12 days. He said the team "lost its legs" in last night's game.

(2) The team has off today and tomorrow to rest. He and his staff will use the time to recruit more for next season and the one after.

(3) Brown cited the team's overall and conference records and said that mistakes at the end of the UVM game cost us after gaining momentum by halftime. He also saluted the community support behind Vermont.

(4) We need to continue to win at home and "steal" games on the road.

(5) Hartford will be a challenge for us as they like to take a lot of 3's and play zone defense.

(6) Lastly, he praises this team for its success so far despite the pressure and expectations placed on them after last year's success.

It's good the team has some breathing room now so that we can hear some of the coach's current thoughts on our status.

I noticed that as well. I didn't think there were any scholarships/openings on the team available. Was that anyone else's understanding as well?

I have heard rumors that another scholarship may open up for next season. Bauman may graduate early and choose not to be a member of the team next season. Also, walk ons are always an option. You can never have too many bodies
