Close for a quarter...then UA THROTTLES the St. Bernards.

Good day for the AE and Albany: Hopkins took down Princeton in OT; SBU downed Harvard, at Harvard; UMBC seemed to be in control against AFA, in Denver.

Dark spot was Bing going down to Hobart.

Albany thoroughly dominated Siena. McKeon played the 2nd half in goal. Coach Marr cycled in more reserves once the score hit 17-4.

Any new men's lacrosse rankings out today?

Ignore the previous post. How about not being so lazy and look up the info.

From the UAlbany athletic website, we are ranked # 4 in one poll and # 9 in another.

Here is the text of the statement from the website:

"Baltimore, Md. -- Following last Saturday's 21-8 victory over crosstown-rival Siena, UAlbany is ranked in the top 10 in both national men's lacrosse polls. The Great Danes are No. 4 in the USILA coaches' poll, the highest-ever ranking in the program's Division I history, and are No. 9 in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse media poll. Senior attacker Frank Resetarits (left) had a career day with four goals and four assists in the Siena win. He was chosen as the America East Conference Player of the Week. Derek Dale and Jordan Levine each had three goals. "

In the USILA poll, only Duke, Georgetown, and Cornell are ranked above us. We outpoll teams such as 5. Johns Hopkins , 6. Navy, 7. Princeton , 8. Virginia , 9. Army, 10. Delaware , 11. Towson , 12. Syracuse , 13. North Carolina , 14. Maryland. Unbelievable! Who would have ever thought a couple years ago that lacrosse experts would place our team ahead of Princeton, Virginia, Johns Hopkins, Maryland, and Syracuse?

Amazingly, one of the eleven coaches voting gave Albany a FIRST PLACE VOTE

USILA poll

Speculation is that somebody playing us is building us up so it'll help their strength of schedule later

wow---the coaches of Division 1 Lacrosse programs think so highly of UAlbany that we are ranked #4 in the nation!

how far can we go?
