No, the Yankees actually won championships in the last fifteen years. Buffalo is more like the current Rangers or Orioles to our Twins.

 

Rangers are a bad analouge because the franchise has eternally sucked. Outside of Nolan Ryan's last two no-hitters, the A-Rod fiasco, a nice ballpark, and a 30-run game they haven't done squat in nearly a half-century. Besides, it's a bad comparison given it works best with rivals.

 

Giants to our Jets, Hertz to our Avis, Wheel of Fortune to our Jeopardy, Mozart to our Salieri, LA to our San Francisco...

I hate to dredge up a 2 week old topic, but the battle between us and Buffalo isn't that bad.

 

While UB beats UA, "SUNY Albany" eeks out a win over "SUNY Buffalo".
