Suicide Watch

Recommended Posts

“Some guys did 25, some guys did over 60, it all depends on who made the times,” Brown said. “We had one guy who probably did in the 80s … I told these guys every time a team shoots over 40 percent against us the rest of the year, for every percentage point over 40, we’re going to run a suicide … You are what you emphasize, and if we continue to emphasize it, and continue to hold them accountable, eventually they’ll figure it out. Either that, or they’ll stop playing basketball and join the cross-country team or the track team.”

Coaching staff does the suicides tomorrow, UVM shoots 33%.

While that 33% figure against UVM in game #24 does look impressive, in the interests of full disclosure it should be pointed out that the team allowed a shooting percentage of 50.0% to the Hartford Hawks (and Kenny Adeleke did not even mysteriously show up for one more collegiate game.)

Since the 40% edict the team is 3-3 on the measure:

Game FG % Opponent

20 46.3 UMBC

21 35.6 SBU

22 33.9 UNH

23 50 UH

24 32.8 UVM

25 41.2 UM

Here's to hoping the team can thwart UMBC on Wednesday, as this has the potential to be the game of the year. Good luck to BU tomorrow...
