Future of UAlbany Football

This is what I want the future of UAlbany Football to look like and I don't see any reason why it can't!

 

 

 

 

I couldn't agree more.

 

UAlbany is an 18,000 student state university center. A program of Montana's stature is fairly modest. Our comparisons ought to be UMass, Delaware, Montana, Buffalo or Central Michigan. We should aim to be on par in all respects academically and athletically.

 

UB was on ESPN’s Sports Center again last night. I was sitting in a bar in Atlanta and there it was on the TV. A few weeks back I saw a UB Bulls hat in my local LIDS. They’ve blazed the path. Lets follow their lead.

It has been mentioned that "funding will dictate the proceedings."

 

It appears that the AD will "need to see a startling increase in the amount of money that is raised privately or our facility needs will continue to be directly tied to the amount of money that is earmarked by the State of New York."

 

"Helping grow both the percentage of donors to athletics and the amount of money raised will help us reach

our future goals."

 

Anybody have any BIG TIME connections out there that you can schmooze? Big Time Donations?

 

How about Ford Field @ IBM Stadium?

John Kourakos ( alumnus and Tommy Jeans President ) ?

 

Norman E. Snyder ( alumnus and Founder of SoBe ) ?

There are a ton of wealth alumns.

There's a guy who is a Senior VP at Nike.

Two brothers who are the head of BMG Music (or some other monster label).

The list goes on and on and on.

 

Problem is they have no connection to the University and specifically to its athletic program.

And there are major, major players in the NYC financial scene. Which more then likely aren't going to be willing to fork over millions after what has happened the last few days.

How about Ford Field at Fuccillo Stadium. It would be H-U-G-E!!!! Although since he played football at Cuse his money probably goes there.

As of noon today.......they already had 596 requests for seat licences ($596,000). Not bad for a half days' work.....and 6 months to go to raise $5 million in a very healthy metro area.
