In the latest UAlbany alumni magazine there's an announcement/photo that Joseph N. Garba ('02.'05) has just been appointed as a new member of the Alumni Association board. Garba is also the staff secretary and special assistant to Governor David Patterson.

 

So, is this the same Joe Garba who was on UA's basketabll team in the Scott Hicks/S.B***** era?

I hope so. That would be a good "in" for the athletic department to have.
