Volleyball loses to North Carolina 3-1, to Michigan State and Southern Cal 3-0

 

 

Tough opening weekend for the ladies. Although, the competition is among the best in the country.

Glad to see this level of competition.

 

This Friday - Saturday, Volleyball hosts the UAlbany Classic.

Hopefully the tougher competition will help them later. They probably could have won the Syracuse tournament held the same weekend. Looking forward to Friday night.

 

Albany Wins UAlbany Volleyball Classic

 

Results:

 

UAlbany 3 - Hofstra 0

UAlbany 3 - Seton Hall 0

UAlbany 3 - Lamar 1

 

"Brooke Stanley was named the MVP of the UAlbany Volleyball Classic, leading the Great Danes to an undefeated record. After defeating Hofstra, 3-0, on Friday, Stanley led UAlbany to wins over Seton Hall and Lamar to claim the title. The Great Danes posted a 3-0 victory over Seton Hall with scores of 25-15, 25-21 and 25-17, before recording a 3-1 win over Lamar with scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-19 and 25-23." Congrats to the team. I got to see Fridays game, but missed yesterday due to going to a couple of football games.

Now, good luck on the extended road trip. They are not home until Friday Oct 16th vs Stony Brook.
