OT: New School of Business Building

For those SoB alums on the board....

 

Construction prep began today. Surveyors are here. A very large excavator is sitting in the old visitor lot across from UHall (site of new building) and a tree removal company has begun removing the tress from around the site.

 

The official ground breaking ceremony should be sometime in June. Tentative move in date is Summer 2013.

They've actually done a pretty decent job with the updates on the new housing buildings, so I imagine they'll do the same with the SoB building.

Beautiful building...being on campus its great to see the transformation. The new trees being planted, new benches, landscaping etc. Now this building, campus center extension being planned, hopefully a new football stadium.

This is great for the program. As a B School grad I can't be more excited.

They're doing a great job on campus projects. I like the new landscaping around Dutch quad...hope it continues. UA always gets blasted for being an ugly campus so these improvements will go a long way
