Any idea where he'll be assigned, I would guess Billings, but I don't know.

If he does go to Billings , I may have to rearrange my June trip to see one of their games.

 

Also, Dave Kubiak drafted last year by the Rays is still listed on the Princeton Rays roster on milb.com. Their season starts in about 2 weeks also. Hopefully he continues to pitch well and moves up to Hudson Valley renegades, 1 1/2 hours from Albany at some point.

Debut for Sean Lucas in Billings tonight. 2/3 of an inning. 0 runs 0 hits. faced 3 batters in the 9th. 1 reached on an error by the shortstop. stuck out 2. Got a hold in an 8-6 win over Missoula.

Also, Dave Kubiak drafted last year by the Rays is still listed on the Princeton Rays roster on milb.com. Their season starts in about 2 weeks also. Hopefully he continues to pitch well and moves up to Hudson Valley renegades, 1 1/2 hours from Albany at some point.

 

Kubiak was released by the Rays in the Spring, signed by Atlanta in early May and released by them in mid June.

When we were at the Gwinnett game in Syracuse some guy was asking about Kubiak to the Braves pitching coach who of course had no idea who he was. So when we got home GDG looked the transactions up over the past few weeks and found his movement from the Rays, to the Braves and now off the Braves roster.

Sean has gotten 2 more relief appearances since I left Montana. Got his first save last night. The Billings team has a lot of pitchers, but Sean has 3 appearances 2 1/3 innings 4 ks 1 hit allowed so far.

Dave Kubiak is now on the Evansville Otters of the independent Frontier League.

Well at least they got the moving up part correct. He had been on Billings of the Pioneer league. Transaction had been last Monday and he has pitched in 2 games so far for Dayton.

That is a surprise. I am so used to them making mistakes that if someone tells mw the TU said something, I always look up a second source to see if it is accurate.
