MLAX Game 2/OOC Game 2 @ Penn, Franklin Field Philadelphia, PA Tuesday, February 20, 2024, 2:00 PM

Their transition game is also terrible for a program known for high octane offense. Not sure how many unforced passes go wrong on clears. Passing into double teams etc. some video review should fix it but you can’t be making those mistakes

As I have said for a couple of years, we need a new defensive coordinator - my opinion.  Guys need to be more aggressive and better at the slides.  Wings have to be better on FO.   On Offense, we just can not get the ball inside consistently - we seem to pass round way outside over and over and can not get it inside for a shot.   Both Colgate and Penn get it in quick and shoot immediately - we have not been able to do that.  Our guys are just not comforatble dodging and getting inside to shoot or even shooting when they have a quick opening.   We take a lot of low % shots.

Colgate had the advantage of real game experience; Penn is part of what I believe is DI MLAX power conference where for a handful of the talent finds its way there, in particular Yale, Cornell, Penn with Princton and Harvard not far behind.  After watching Colgate - Yale, is Colgate a top 20 team. Not Likely, a Patriot Conference champ, more likely just like UAlbany may be the America East champs, only if they can mature quickly.

I think this is going how it going to look. A little sloppy with younger players, but this group seems to be playing with a lot more heart than other recent teams. I still hate the slide packages, and we create more offense then we actually give up.

I missed Colgate and Penn and only saw parts of replays. But think this team is almost there. Scott the eternal optimist “seems” even more optimist than usual? Still think we miss Salit?
