Terrific. A three-point shooter is exactly what the team needs.
I couldn't agree more that the team needs some shooters, but she is listed at 6'1", and a forward... Where are the 5'8"-5'9" shooting guards?

Overtime, 10-10. A UAlbany lacrosse team is overdue to win one of these tight battles.

UA is not the only school with streaming issues...

Jets had Firemen Ed...we have Accountant Bob. lol. Awesome article.
Odd that I haven't seen "Accountant Bob" offering any quotes to the TImes Union.
Then again, he may be offering them, but the Times Union might not be publishing them!

I am not going to try to explain this (too much) to the less degenerative types, but there are gambling lines for the women's game today!
Money Line: (Straight up, who wins.)
UAlbany -110 (Bet $110 to win $100)
UPenn -120 (Bet $120 to win $100, making UPenn a very slight (in gambling terms, the slightest, actually) favorite.
Point spreads: (Only two that I could find.)
UPenn -1.5: +155
UAlbany +1.5: -185
Over/Under (for combined number of goals scored): 18.5
If I could have gotten UAlbany with the -1.5 instead of the +1.5, I would have jumped on it!

Great article and Bob nice quote!

In what hardly counts as news any more, the men won their eleventh straight America East outdoor championship, and the women won their seventh.
I sat in the old football bleachers for a couple of hours on Saturday after the men's lacrosse championship game, and I must say that although University Field did not provide a very good vantage point for football, it did for track and field. If I focused just hard enough I could still picture the gridiron action.

Team heading to Entrada, Snow Canyon CC, St. George Utah for the NCAA regionals May 7-9. Only four other teams from east of the Mississippi (UVA, Vanderbilt, Middle Tenn., and Miami (FL) among the 18 schools. Six teams plus three other individuals advance to the Bradenton, FL finals on May 22.
St. George, Utah is a really nice place to spend a weekend. I hope they get some extra time there.

It looks like this could be the beginning of another UAlbany run of championships. They graduate one senior (who didn't tee off in the championships, and who I think graduated in the fall), and their only signed recruit for next year averaged a 76 last year in high school.
With the overall MAAC (blech!) champion being a freshman from UA, that's one more program in good shape... In such good shape I won't even take a potshot at the status of the baseball program!

LCC with the early troubles falling into 3rd place, 13 shots off the pace. Albany now in the lead by 12 strokes over second place Quinnipiac. Still a lot of golf to go.
-
Hence the qualifier.
UAlbany signed four four-year players in November 2013 and all of them are gone by April 2015.

Alex Kline on twitter reporting that McKay transferring to Eastern Washing University...
And that officially closes the book on the November 2013 signing class.
All four year players. All gone.

McKinley tweeted that he's been released from his LOI..so that gives us 3 scholarships for the spring.
That stinks I loved his height... :/
I think it stinks because now I don't have to continue to insist that he be referred to as "Denali" instead of "McKinley".

Wasn't Carl Ross kicked off the team?
Edit: I thought he was arrested etc., and coach decided not to renew his scholly as a result?
I wasn't filtering out players based upon why they left; I was trying to capture all those that did.
I didn't think he was arrested. I think he didn't want to put the time in over the summer to get better.

Question? I can not remember a single player transferring out of UA and being an impact player at the same level or higher? Raffa possibly, but I do not think his new team went ncaa at all? So you historians out there; who if anyone transferred out of UA and subsequently played in the show??
I was thinking about this earlier, and the only example I could think of was Logan Aronhalt going to Maryland, but that was for his last year while he got his Master's degree.
-
A lot of repeat content (naturally), but even so, that story never gets old!
Love the exposure.

Where did you see McKay is transferring? Can you clarify what you mean by post 27? Perhaps I'm just getting senile lol
Yeah, no, the senility is on my end. As DP has so graciously pointed out it is indeed Twyman and not McKay.
I think my brain like to rearrange letters so I somehow came up with McKay in my head...but whatever!

McKay can add front court depth. The year of red shirting could help big for us.
Doesn't post number 27 state that McKay is also leaving the program?...
-
At least Green is staying.
It could still happen; it's only the first week of April.
-
I didn't go to as many games as most of the diehard fans, but Baker definitely showed athleticism and a good jump-shot (most of the time.)
Sorry to see him go, but maybe some of the AE Championship Game coverage can pull in a good replacement.
-
There are injuries at the faceoff position.
What is it 2-30 on faceoffs? We'd never beat anyone with that stat.
Well, maybe Lowell.
The faceoff situation got so bad that the rather large UA contingent gave a mock cheer very late in the game when UAlbany won what was likely their first faceoff of the second half... Which was likely against Syracuse's third team face-off specialist.
-
Didn't Bob say earlier that work would prohibit him from attending?Face-offs 13-2 Cuse.
Shots 21-18 UA, but about 5 on one man-up that didn't result in a goal.
Good UA crowd, but no Bob sightings...
He did, but that doesn't stop this Danes fan from hoping for the best!

I guess I am just worried about her quickness. Other than Shereesa how many fast 6-footers does women's basketball (particularly at this level) produce?
