  1. UA up 49-45 on Cremo 3, TV timeout...UA ball
  2. Peter just tied Sam for 5h all time scoriing with two FT..
  3. Stire just got 4th foul...lazy footwork by him today
  4. Mike R, slapped at a HC guy going to the basket at .02, giving HC two free throws...HC is Awful, near the bottom in the entire NCAA in stats.....the fact it is a one point game is disturbing...Enema and Stire shaved their heads...not sure why...3 UA players have 2 fouls...Stire has 3...Dallas hit a 3 with 3 seocnds left before the HC kid went coast to coast...
  5. the game is on the patriot league website for free....UA is down 8 to a GOD AWFUL team....
  6. I agree 100% with Forster, was very impressed, outside the foul shooting....Lavergene is way more of a work in progress for sure...
  7. against Q, UA has struggled mightily so just glad to get a W.....for the record, Wyland is not good at either football or hoops as a play by play guy, and I like the guy,,,,haha
  8. maybe something not physical related for her not to be at the game??? This game ended up closer than it should....UA got a little tight when the 18 point lead shrunk to 6...but weathered the storm....Shareesha, for her, missed a lot chippies...
  9. Charles game is similar to that of one Bernard King....again, please don't take out of context what I saying.....only his style is similar..if he gets to 25-30% of Bernard...he will be a America East star
  10. the ladies have been by far the closest of the two programs in knocking off a power team....had UNC beat in Delaware, had DUKE beat at Cameron and had a GREAT chance at beating the Vols......has to come soon.....taking down a Big East team tomorrow wont hurt
  11. given the fact we are 3X defending champs....don't feel it is out of bounds to state the AE is ours to lose and that is taking S.B. into account also. no matter how well they do this year.....IF/WHEN UA and S.B. meet in the tourney....we will be in their heads until they finally break through
  12. only 3 games in and looks like Dallas will be the odd man out without injuries....I actually wanted CB to put him in the last 5 minutes of BU game to see if HE could make a jumper since nobody else could....I agree, the AE is OURS to lose, nobody elses....
  13. the energy should be high tonight.....wonder how Coach B will use Cremo tonight......Im sure there will be a strong contingent to see him.....would like to see our group play 30-35 minutes at a high level and the last 5 when up at least 20, guys can have some fun!!!
  14. former local standout Elijah Burns (LaSalle) was redshirted by Mike Brey and the Irish this year.....also, not to beat a dead horse about last nights game is IMO, we lose a little street cred we may have built up with the KY loss....obviously making the tournament is the #1 goal this year...with that said, we also need to get out of the 15-16 seeding in order to possibly have a chance at winning a second round game against a much better opponent..that is why we need to win as many as possible..especially winnable road games...
  15. in the long run this game should be a learning experience, the problem is it HURTS losing a game again that we should have won by prob. close to 10 points.....
  16. IMO, we got the benefit of the whistle almost the entire night...we gave away so many free throws AGAIN in a HS gym no less......watching that game was as frustrating as I can remember with the horrific shooting and turnovers late....as good as Evan is...he got outplayed by a Freshman Richie Cunningham which annoyed the hell out of me and Peters shot is incredibly off....UGH
  17. sorry group for putting the S.B. stuff on the football line but didn't want to put anything regarding their hoop team on our hoop teams thread.....the point was they kept launching 3's after the game was ridiculously out of hand....running their offense and scoring baskets is OK in my book..
  18. MUSHNICK ripped Pikiell and SB for the outrageous running up the score against D-3 USMMA 103-32......launching 3's when up 60
  19. I liked what I saw overall from the team outside the poor foul shooting and missing too many decent looks....Evan showed me he can play with many many guards in CB....Stire, love his grit and hustle....wish he was 2 inches taller.....Peter, as UA '08 said, is Peter...will get his....glad it came out Sanders was fighting a hammy cuz I was disappointed in his game by far the most...new guys fit in pretty darn well...and Cremo is a very smart player!!!! Let's use Friday night against arguably the best team in CB to get the W in BU tonight!!!
  20. if it hasn't been posted...the SEC hoops channel for Direct TV is 611
  21. Picozzi's call was very good but I think I liked Westwood 1's a little better...
  22. to get a look at Stony Brook, they will be on ESPNU against the Irish in South Bend on Tuesday Dec. 8th...I wish Coach had a little more time to look at Elijah Burns....
  23. But they didn't. Because he missed gimme FT's, which is my point. He will get his, of course, he's a good player. But I worry less about him (especially since I think Evan is on his level) than I would about Warney destroying our entire big man core. I guess we can agree to disagree. I'd rather give Purifoy 25pts than I would Warney. Why? Because more than likely, half of those 25 Warney points will come on And-1 shots meaning our guys like Stire, Rowley, Peters are in foul trouble. He takes much higher percentage shots (right under the basket), than Purifoy. That's basketball 101. Make the ball go out to the perimeter and make them make tougher shots. I have enough faith in our guards (Evan and Hooley) to not worry about him as much. I have less faith in our bigs (especially with Sam gone) so we need to shut him down as best we can (should have added best we can earlier - obviously no one can shut him down and keep him to 5pts). Warney going for 25 and 15 is DEVASTATING and will = a likely loss for us. Purifoy going for 25 with 2 assists and 6 TO's is far less devastating. Based on the stats of the last two games. Here are Warney's numbers, for S&Gs: 35 MPG 52% FG 0% 3PT (no attempts) 67% FT 11.5 RPG 1 APG 0 SPG 2 BPG 2 TPG 2.5 PFG 16 PPG Now look at this way. He shoots a higher percentage, closer to the basket = more chances to score. He rebounds the ball exponentially better = second opportunities for himself or his teammates. He blocks shots = not allowing US to score. And he turns the ball over less than Purifoy...based on those two games. Warney is the killer, we all know that. But if we can limit Warney at least a little? We raise our chances of winning considerably. Purifoy will NEVER beat us by himself. If you let Warney get 25/15 or 30/12...we WILL lose. like you said, we can agree to disagree....haha....Purifoy will dominantly have the ball in his hands for distribution, scoring and even turning it over....once Warney gets it in the block..essentially the play will most likely be over good or bad...until he gets the ball...Purifoy will be 100% in charge and if we control him we control the SeaWolves...IMO
  24. BTW-we will not shut down Warney...our key is to try to take out Purifoy first...he runs the show...Warney will get his without a doubt..he is a beast....Purifoy we need to contain big time...
