Exactly. Good showing. What stony brook did was isolate their players. Their guards were better then us and the isolation allowed them to beat us off the dribble and score countless layups and 5 footers. Need to gain more talent but the coaching staff has done a great job these last several games . Keep improving .

They are playing very well as a whole. Win or lose I like the way they are playing.

Defense is very poor. I have counted at least 6 layups in the second half alone. That will help the shooting percentage.

Another outstanding win. This team has every excuse to fold and pack it in and they don't. They play hard every minute of the game. Great win.

Not a bad first half. Hutchinson missed 2 WIDE open 3s. We played good defense and forced them to take tough shots. They did hit a few but overall a good half.

I'm not an expert so this is just a guess. The macc is made up small private schools. The AE is made up of mostly large state schools. We do not fit the macc mold. My guess is they have less then zero interest in us.

Why would they build to 16 only to break it up? Either way if it's under the CAA banner it will be a 1 bid league. To answer the multi bid question, the answer it can be a multi bid league. Any league can. It's not how many teams are in it, it's the strength of those teams, but to me a 16 team mid major is way too many.

Major sports, at least for us, is football, basketball, and lacrosse. We are already in the caa for football. Do we really want to be in a 16 team mid major for basketball? 1/16 chance to go to the tournament? I'm not sure about caa lacrosse but we were number 1 in the country in the AE. So we know it can be done.

Your right about northeastern. I would love for albany to move to a better conference. I just don't see it. My guess is that our budget would need to go up a ton and I'm sure the state would not support it. Just a guess. I strongly dislike the direction of UA atheltics and the AD. Hopefully he will not be around much longer but our president does not seem to care. He seems to let our AD do his thing.

It's a big guess but I would say yes. But we are 3 hours north of stony brook and they are north of everyone else. So there are just too many travel costs. The revenue the caa can generate would not cover those costs.

I'm not sure we wanted to go. In the past we didn't. Increase travel costs a ton to another 1 bid league.

Great win. Great defense. Offense did enough. Keep getting better and learning the system.

Doles does nothing going toward the basket. Everything is a fade away . Or a straight shot. Easy to game plan against.

This is just a guess but a very educated guess . The answer is no. This was his final year of eligibility and he has played too many games for a medical redshirt.

Unfortunate to lose potentially 3 starters for the season. Now it's all about growth and attempting to be competitive. That's all we can ask for now.

Some good individual performances. Some bad. A win is a win I guess. Liked how we went down 8 and stoll showed fight. Every win is a good win with this group.

This was a 100 percent accurate statement at the time. Throughout the nonconference we would switch on the high ball screen. Both Binghamton and New Hampshire (in the first half) knew this. They would set the high ball screen to create severe mismatches and really open shots. It took us wayyyy to long to change this. But the good news is that they did in the 2nd half. They started to only switch on the guards and either fight through the screens or hedge them. I'm sure you saw that as well. It took them to long to figure that out but at least they did. Team played much better defense in the 2nd half. Offensively the team is poor. But get better players in there and they should be fine.

NOBODY IS SAYING THE ABOVE. NOBODY!!!!! The above post is what's wrong with the US today. People take away from a post, speech. Ect, what they want to hear. If they don't agree with it then it's ridiculous. No it's a different point of view. This is a great example of why we are so divided today. What I am saying is that I believe Killings can take advantage of the new rules and it can really work to our advantage. KILLINGS CAN BE OUR ADVANTAGE. And I expect him to be. So I fully understand what you are saying but I think that MAY be the old school approach. If he starts 3 freshman and 2 sophomores or something like that then I fully understand. Brown tried that and It did not work out. It may be a pipe dream but I really think our coach is very charismatic and very well respected. Therefore I think he can really use the portal to get players that Brown could never land. I'm not saying I want all transfer players but I do believe this is the new normal and believe Killings could excel at it. (I really do). When I say tranfer players I'm not talking juco players. I'm talking about players from a higher conference transfering down with multiple years left. We could have as many as 6 scholarships or so (Champion, Cerruti, Perry , Newman, Doles, and Horton). I believe Horton and Doles could return again. (Covid Year) . 6 freshman is too many. Get 3 or so impact guys from the portal. Again maybe too high of expectation but I believe Killings himself has high expectations and would agree. His connections may be able to land us something special. He labeled himself as a recruiter. I hope he can become 1 for us. And I believe the portal could really help and accelerate the process.

If it does not make sense to you then u may not follow the transfer rules. Which is fine. I will explain it. With a ton of players in the transfer portal it is easier for a team to get better quickly. The same applies for not sitting out a year. In previous years you would need to sit out a year when u transfer. I understand when you say competitive however Killings being a "recuiter" I believe he will have an advantage in the portal. On other words the portal and transfer rules will benefit us more, in my opinion. That's what I'm counting on.

I agree. We are a bad team. However, I will continue to give Killings the year. But that's all, with the transfer portal and not sitting out a year there are no more excuses.
