Coach Killings is a tremendous leader of young men and we are thrilled to have him as our baskeyball coach. Almost word for word . Just watch .

It's just my opinion but I believe that's what a message board is for. Anyone with inside information believes, and has stated it publicly, Killings will be let go. Ex) Wyland. Unfortunately it appears our school has done a very poor job handling the situation.

Crazy. It's whether or not the striking of the kid was intentional or not. That's it.

We have beaten this thing to death but I believe that's what a message board should do. Two things that continue to remain on my mind: 1) I'm not in HR, at least one of you are, but how can a coach be allowed to coach after a complaint of physical contact? Remove the player but not the coach? Is that the norm because that's odd? 2) In this day in age when a player will put his name in the portal for playing 19 minutes and not 20, why is not a single scholarship non senior player in the portal? Seems so odd to me as well. This could change at anytime but I thought it would have happened by now.

Killings will be relieved of his duties after the final four (Rumored). Championship game Monday night so I would expect an announcement Tuesday or the latest Wednesday

Mark my words, and I hope to god I'm wrong but Killings will be fired and that moron Benson will be allowed to keep his job. Wait and see. If that's true I will not donate another dollar over the amount I need to keep my season tickets.

Luke played 6 minutes on 2/26 . Then not at all. The crazy thing is how does it go from an incident in NOVEMBER, to playing all year, to not playing in final 2 games. All I can think of is the situation got worse and worse. It had to.

The incident apparently occurred before the game . Not after.

So I only know one person that is in "the know" and he stated the following to me: He believes Killings hit a walk on just prior to a game in November. My guess is Luke. He stated it was not the worse thing ever, the issue is that it was covered up. Stated the Albany President is out of the state, somewhere south. Decision will be made after the final four. His opinion is that both Killings and Benson will be gone. He stated it was not because of the initial incident but because of the cover up. Basically because of the world today and the damage to the school if allowed to keep coaching.

Best of both worlds would be a minor incident. Killings apologize and we move on. Benson gets fired for not reporting the incident sooner. Sad to say I see both getting fired.

I understand. My point is : im 40 years old. I can't just put on Twitter I'm committing to ualbany basketball. Have it be covered by the local News outlets, ect. He would have had to been in communication with the coaching staff. Been offered a walk on spot and accepted. I would have hoped the coaching staff would have told him about this.

No . It's on the wnyt website and dozens of new outlets. Google "Killings Albany". As much as I hope it blows over because I do believe Killings can get the job done, I do believe he will be fired.

Does it matter ? A walk on is still in communication with the staff. They are guaranteed to be on the team. They do everything the team does they just don't get a scholarship. So your saying thay because he is a walk on that he is disregarded and not told things?

I posted this on the AE board but we got a commitment from a player last night he knew nothing about this . Hard to believe. The staff would have had to say something.

This thread has taken soo many twists and turns but at this point my opinion is this : something happened early November. A cover up happens to some degree. late in the season it gets high enough in the university higher-ups. An investigation ensues, players and interviewed and here we are. Horton seemed to support Killings so maybe he knows Killings is getting fired. Maybe not. Maybe he is doing it just in case. If the allegation was really bad Killings would have been fired immediately. Will be an interesting couple of days.

Just odd. Very odd. Must be something to it. But it does not make sense at all . If it was really bad I would have expected him to be fired on the spot (upon learning about it) . But now that it's out there a decision needs to be made .

There has been an ongoing investigation into an incident involving Albany head coach Dwayne Killings and a player back in November, source told @stadium . Killings has been away from the team the last few weeks on leave.
