Could always be worse, could be LCC, losing to everyone...projected now to finish with 8 or 9 wins all season, currently dead last in the MAAC. Patsos burning that program down to the ground after Mitch...lol 14-7 is a very good record. But I think most of us are looking/hoping to take the next step. We want to be a high Midmajor that competes with the best of them day in an day out. I don't want to see us plateau as just a good midmajor program. I thought this was the team to do it, however I does not seem as such. Hopefully we finish the season strong.

Couple of things: Will Brown has talked several times how the team sat in the Vermont locker room after the championship game last year with a terrible feeling. They talked about it all off season and how that would not happen again . Well.... the team showed NO toughness, and played in the first half like they did not care. Secondly, I will now concede there is no replacement on the bench for Campbell (who played very good D last night ). Clark is largely out of control offensively and absolutely lost defensively. In the post season the minutes need to be something like. Nicole's 39mins (I know he is not playing well but whom do we have ). Cremo 39mins, Charles 39mins.

Just recreationally enjoy the rest of the season . Could be worse. We could be Siena.

Played better in the second half. But this team is not nearly as good as I thought they would be.

I really don't think Vermont played that well. We are just not a good basketball team. Correction.... the AE is not a good basketball conference.

I guess the thing that gets me is that apparently we were pissed about the championship loss and how we would play hard . Nope...Nope...Nope..Nope... 5 offensive rebounds to 0 .... just getting beaten . Plain and simple

Nice win. Team played very well. Defense was great. Offense flowed well. Everyone played well. It was a took game to see. Hopefully a starting point with Vermont coming up.

I know I was one of the guys hyping this teams depth before the season and how this team could be one of the best ever, which on paper did not look that far off. However, again on paper the last two recruiting classes, counting this year, look very strong. We will hopefully have all 3 redshirt players back next year and it would be a travesty if each of them did not get stronger and better with a full year in our system. The 2 incoming freshman have been playing extremely well and both have been touted as outstanding gets for our program. I do think we are improving, however attendance is not, and the overall picture of the basketball program has only improved a little. Is that because we are in the AE? Is that because the Sefcu is not state of the art? Is that because our basketball budget is on the small side, (smaller than Siena's). I honestly don't know. But we are a constantly winning program with a chance to win a lot of games year in an year out, which is a hell of a lot better then our friends down the street.

I never said Albany was a better team then UMBC right now. I stated UMBC is not that great on D. But if you believe they are the best team in the country on defense (or anywhere close) then I can say nothing to change your mind. I could have done a better job conveying my point which is if you pick a small sample size, a person can twist stats anyway they want to. Ex) I'm not a political person but read an article yesterday that stated Obama did more for the Stock market then Trump between months 6 through 9 of each of their first terms . Lol. Lol...love how u make crazy statements...ex) saying we were all wrong after a half of the Maine game. I understand they are #1 through 5 conference games . 3 of those against basic Div 2 Maine ... Div 2 UML...and Hartford shot 6/25 from three and missed SEVERAL wide open 3's. Believe me they are not very good defensively. For the first couple of weeks of the season Vermont's RPI was in the top 10. Do you think Vermont was a top 10 team? Of course not. We might get beaten tomorrow but it won't be because of the lock down defense of UMBC.

I try to be level headed and always call it the way it is. I think we win this game tomorrow. UMBC does not defend and I believe Nichols plays better. I think at home we have a real shot. Don't be surprised when we win this game tomorrow. With that being said , don't believe for one second it means we are fixed.

Good news is we made baskets when we needed to, especially in the last 5 mins. Bad news is we can't stop a nose bleed. The final 10 games will be a grind.

The conference is ranked 24th of 32... It sucks ! We have teams with an RPI of 250, 270, 302, 326, 332. Just because we are not playing well does not mean the conference does not suck. In fact I would say the conference sucks more now that our own RPI is falling . The AE is a terrible basketball conference. Plain and simple . The proof is in the rankings.

Shut up about the bench.. They all suck I think they mean that the starters don't deserve to be in the game because of the way they are playing .

Who you gonna put in? At least he defends... There is no magic bullet on the bench. U are correct. I would put in Clark. Go small and fast. I know his defense lacks, however, our defense as a whole is not very good. I think we should be trying to outscore people in the 90's.
