I completely agree with this .... our athletic program has dominated the America East for a while now ... need a commitment to move up...

Don't really follow lacrosse.. why is that?

I did send the athletic department an email and they apologized for the incident .

One is Atheltics and one is the UA Foundation.I'm not sure what u r saying ... both calls went as follows(one to me and one to my father 3 hours later...same calls) : a UA athlete called and talked about athletics for about 2 mins... then the UA athlete asked if we wanted to donate... if we did them we would be transferred to someone else ... but again the athlete asked for money... not someone else ...

If u believe that then I have a bridge to sell u really cheap...just like there was a written policy when the stadium started banning portable seats.... My father got a call at 4 pm... 3 hours after me asking for money...

Just received a call from an Albany athlete ... the conversation was terrific... the major problem I have is that the email specifically stated NO Solicitation.... this was not the case...at the end of the call I was asked to give money... While it's not the biggest deal, this is very very wrong. My wife and I give what I believe is substantial money to the athletic department for the last 5 years and this was the second time in print (the first being the chairback seats) where they have blatantly lied . I'm sorry but this is becoming a problem in my option...if there is a third time I will cut my donation to nothing ... The communication from the athletic department is a joke .

Best possible ROI??? Maybe .... As someone in investments the AE is like being 20 years old and putting all ur money in bond funds... sure it's safe and u will never loss money, but u have no shot at big time growth . Being in the AE is like the kid playing his video games on easy...he wins every time and feels good about himself but will never get any better. And if that's who we are and always will be I will support that, but i think it's the wrong move .

I happen to agree that nothing is going to happen . I don't mean to sound cheap or childish but that's the reason why I won't donate the money that I can . In my opinion what good would it do? I love albany and it's athletic programs, but me giving more money will not help us dominate the AE anymore then we already are... If I knew we were going places I would donate a lot more .

Did not want to start a new thread...but when do u think , if ever , we look at seriously moving up in conferences? We have flat out dominated the America East for sometime now and I believe that it will start to stunt our growth . The administration needs to determine if they want to continue being a big fish in a very small pond or challenge themselves and move up. I think this a very legitimate issue and one that they should outline for their supporters .

Seems like an ok signing...I know not all can be great. I think he is at least 20 years old as a sophomore, which could help. I think what's missing from our team is a bigger guy who is decent from 3... this may be our guy that can stretch the defense and make a man guard him from 3 which would open up driving lanes ..i guess we will c.

I think Maitland would be a nice addition if we get him .... From what I have read he seems to be a true pg... Nichols is awesome but not a true pg.... We could take a ton of pressure off him to run the offense and score if Maitland commits ...

Thanks for the post . I truly do hope you are right. I'm hoping that someone will give huge money for the naming rights and we can move up from there. Hope to hear more about these plans soon!

Was hoping , and still am, that this new AD would do something for him and the programs . He really deserves it ... Really put some decent money into the program ...I know we are making small improvements ...I guess I'm hoping for more !

I think we are 0-3 in these tournaments ... If we can't show up home then don't play...

It is a joke and I believe that the selection committee for both the men and women, every year, should owe teams that inquire a full written explanation of their seed. U can't tell me that something is not going on behind the scenes. If u don't think so, I have a bridge to sell you....

Can someone tell me how Siena got an 8 or 9 seed like 8 years ago... Don't know much about Siena history .... What was their rpi?...15?... Who did they beat to get that seed ?

Actually the problem is we have FOUR teams +300 49 Vermont 126 New Hampshire 137 Albany 162 UMBC 176 Stony Brook 309 Mass-Lowell 311 Binghamton 323 Maine 327 Hartford I was talking more for next year ... I may be crazy but I don't think Binghamton will be 300. . Prob more like 250 ...I also think Lowell will be better too

Also not to get too far ahead of ourselves but we need to think about scheduling better next year. Need to improve our out of conference rpi schedule . Our league has the chance to be the best it's been on 10 years... Us and Vermont​ should have an rpi at least in the 80's... 2 or 3 teams could have rpi's better or around 150 ... The problem is we could have 2 or 3 teams with an rpi in the 300's...

I think Nichols has to learn to score within the flow of the offense ... Shots with the shot clock running down are not bad... It's the bad shots early on the shot clock that need to be fixed ....Just keep improving!!!!!!!!

Even though our season is not completely over I would like to say thanks to both Rowley and Dallas..Great kids ... With that being said , they were role players on a 21 win team ... Need to continue to get better and continue to add talent...

Campbell had 2 open looks at 3 around the 8 minute mark ... One to put us up 9 the other to go up 7 ... Missed both .... I think he makes 1 and it's a different game .... Vermont is good ... Good luck to them in the tournament.
