Glad to hear is doing better.
I echo the "nice guy" sentiments. I knew Jack from my Track days and time spent w/my knee in his whirlpool.
Now I run into him in Saratoga once in while. He always has time to say hello and chat a bit.
A good guy.
Best to you Jack.

I have every intention of going.
Waiting on ticket info through the University and destination.
East Coast are definite yes sites.
Some of the West Coast may lead to some issues but I will be giving it my best shot.

Southern won the SWAC and they have an RPI of 135. Good news. Not an upset but that puts 3 teams in with lower RPI's by my count, so far.
-
Maybe a recount is in order.
Also think this verifies Jamar as POY.

Great job, incredible time.
Looking at the results I believe he was the 2nd American.
Congrats.

Guys,
I hear you, but I'm not an alum nor did I ever go to the school. When they were bad a few years back I didn't even know they existed. Started following them the end of last season and then this year it just took of. I wish I had my season tix to....now I have to compete with everyone else to get them.....But I'm a life'r from this point on!!!
Hey, if you've been following them this year your ahead of the game too. Seats will be tougher, but you'll have no problem getting chairbacks. And in my opinion you want to be up a little bit anyway. Better view of the whole court.

What an impressive win.
As "wide open" as this tournament was the UA team really put on a display. All three double digit wins, and todays final is not an indication of what a rout this was.
The only guy on the floor that could have possibly slowed down Jamar was Lou. Vermont had no answers to that offense today.
Jamar with 29, 8 boards, 4 assist (should have been more), with 1 TO. Unreal.
Now we wait to see where we end up and who we play.
Congrats to the team for an impressive run (so far).

Of course prefer a 15, but more importantly I hope it stays on the Eastern seaboard (or maybe Dallas - AA frequent flyer miles).
Need the win first.

This is a tremendous honor for G.Burns, Coach Vives, and the entire program.
I would be even more impressive if he steps up and makes the finals. As #14 seed he'll need to have his best race to do so, but once you are in the finals anything can happen. He is only 1 second out of being the #3 seed.
Good Luck

For 7 years, I think.

Let's play this game already.

I have a couple of UA friends planning on viewing at
Willie & Reeds - (301) 951-1100 - 4901 Fairmont Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814
If anyone is interested in joining them.

This game needs to be at the RACC.
5K in the RACC or 8K in the Pepsi? I'll take 5K in the RACC. Atmosphere for BU and UVM games this year was out of this world. Saturday will make that look silly.
Win this thing in front of UAlbany fans, not just bball fans.
No Pepsi Arena until they sell out the RACC for every game for 5-years. And then I still prefer an on campus 7-8K seat arena.

I'm from the first of Coach Vives era.
Have met Munsey though and a lot of guys I ran with were very fond of him.
You were part of the powerhouse teams.

And Joe Greene is a freshman. This kid is going to run in the low 46's outdoors. Unreal in the Northeast.
Are any of you guys T&F alum? Seems to be some T&F knowledge. What era?

I'm not sure if this is good news, bad news, or no news, but:
As a season ticket holder I was e-mailed by the ticket office the info. I then responded to try to get a jump on things, as I certainly want my 4 and some more tickets. No response yet and wouldn't expect one.
I then recieved a call (on my voicemail) from the ticket office with the same info. around 10:00AM. I immediately returned the call and reaffirmed that I want my tickets and some more if possible, again on voicemail.
Now at 3:30 I still haven't heard back so I figured I'd be a pain and try again, and well, the mailbox is full.
I guess my obvious point is this is going to be a very difficult ticket for the general public.

I was thinking about that, but with back to back over Manhattan and Iona they may leap frog us in the rankings anyway. Also having Keydron Clark will get them a little extra run from the committee.
-
Even Siena fan/alum Paul Vandenburg was hyping Brown this morning on his show (after McCaffrey of course).
Along the lines of can't understand the administration.
-
Thanks for the info.
I've had people call me already looking for tickets.
-
If anyone has any idea how to get tickets please post. Hopefully someone here will know before the U lets us know.
I have season tickets so I'm sure I will be OK, but I'm looking to order extras.

UALBANY ATHLETES COMPETE AT FIRST DAY OF IC4A/ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Boston, Mass. - Junior Burnett set a school record in the 200-meter dash at the first day of the IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championship, held at Boston University's Track and Tennis Center on Saturday, March 4. Alyssa Lotmore took fifth in the 5,000m at the first day of the women's ECAC Championship at the Reggie Lewis Center.
Burnett, who earned conference honors in the 55m dash at the America East Conference championship, qualified for the event finals in both the 200m and 55m dash. He covered the 200m in 21.56 seconds to eclipse the previous standard of 21.75, set by freshman Pat Weider at the conference championship two weeks ago. Weider also advanced in the 200m with a time of 21.66 seconds. Burnett's performance of 6.39 seconds in the 55m dash was one-hundredth of a second off school-record pace.
Also advancing to the finals for UAlbany were two-time defending IC4A 800m champion Gered Burns (1:49.08), as well as freshman Joe Greene, who ran the 400m in a season best 47.63. Greene anchored the 4x400 relay which advanced in a school-record pace of 3:13.20. Weider, Burnett and Stephen Evans teamed with Greene on the relay.
Lotmore turned in a fifth-place showing in the 5,000m, finishing in a time of 16:46.69. The junior eclipsed her own UAlbany standard, set earlier this season, by nine seconds. Her fifth-place finish in the finals is the first time Lotmore has scored in an indoor ECAC Championship.
Freshman twins Jessica Ortman and Jenna Ortman advanced to the finals of the 800m and 1,000m, respectively. Anisha Andrews anchored the women's 4x400 relay which set a new school record of 3:51.59. She teamed with Melissa Lee, Jenn Gurrant and twin sister Adanna Andrews in the event preliminaries.
