  1. Anybody check out the CAA broadcast yet? jMU stadium is ridiculous. I hope we play there next year.
  2. Field position game. We'll win a game like this every time with Layton. Patience
  3. More and more every year. It will increase next year too when our coaches get a birds eye view at he top of that tower.
  4. Life as an affiliate member. Won't change much in the CAA either.
  5. Looking flat and still in control. Nothing to worry about.
  6. It's the spot where he controls the ball in college. NFL would've been a touchback.
  7. Me too. Not fighting online feeds and HDMI cables. Dont forget to pop your head over to NBC Sports at 1pm to see the CAA broadcast. That'll give you something to get excited about.
  8. Nike is for football. Not sure about the rest of the teams. I would pay double whatever the price is for an official Nike UA football dri-fit t-shirt and they can't even get it on the site to sell You can buy them at home games. I know it's not perfect but if you call the athletic department they may be willing to sell you something over the phone.
  9. Nike is for football. Not sure about the rest of the teams.
  10. Andrew Cuomo is an Albany Law grad......If UA ever wanted to take over Albany Law - this might be the best chance to do it.
  11. ESPN3 is online only and only for certain cable providers (Cablevision isn't one of them, but I'm not sure about DirecTV) The game is being streamed live at www.necfrontrow.com also this week and is available regardless of cable provider. I'd go there first.
  12. Or neither of the two - looks like a research alliance formed with the support of the Cuomo administration. Not sure what that means, but it can't hurt. Seems the Governor really does view UA as an economic engine and a partner. I wonder if we'll see him in the President's box at any football games next year?
  13. I saw that too. One of two things would be great: 1. UA officially takes over Albany Med in a partnership with RPI (needs to happen eventually) 2. UA is moving forward with the plan that was previously proposed for the SUNY 2020 grant (biomedical center on the downtown campus area) but are doing it as a partnership with RPI and Albany Med instead of through the SUNY 2020 program.
  14. I think it is just a staging area for the rest of the work. The concrete forms are going up for the remainder of the field-level wall and they are also creeping along with the "skim coat" on top. Some of that wall will remain visible and I think will be painted so they need a good clean surface. It also looks like the are doing some more excavation up around the tower area. I'm really hoping that sucker starts to rise up out of the ground before homecoming. Brutus - do you know if the tower is steel construction or concrete? If its steel I imagine the skeleton will go up very quickly. Concrete will take some additional time of course.

  16. FYI - there is going to be a great showcase of CAA football as the CAA NBCSports game of the week. Towson at James Madison at 1pm on Saturday. I know its on the same time as our game, but we start at noon so we should be done before this game and it will still be on when we're done. James Madison has probably the best stadium in the whole of FCS.

  19. Still not ranked in TSN. Not surprising. People just don't pay attention to the NEC ever. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfoot2/misc/cfoot225poll.aspx
  20. I agree and have been harping on this from Day 1! I can guarantee Scott Marr is going to be pushing for every game possible on Bob Ford Field and why wouldn't he? He's going to have to look at that huge tower beaming down over Fallon field every day. You better believe he's walking recruits through the stadium as well on visits.
