Just noting, Lilly Phillips received her bachelor's degree this weekend and has referred herself as an UAlbany Alumni.

As for basketball, not sure what it means, perhaps playing as a grad student.

Ex Lady Dane Tiana-Jo Carter also joins coach Mullens staff, from Princeton. Nice!

Yvonne Hawkins moves on to become director of special projects and athletic culture at Vanderbilt.

Hawk was an assistant at Albany for 21 seasons in two stints over the last 37 years.

Well, with some recent grad transfers, the women’s roster is currently at 13. Unless someone else has been added or one of the following has left. 

Returnees: L. Phillips, K. Cooper, G. Falcao, M. Huerter, A. Ray.

New Frosh: Delaney Hill, Makayla Noble, Marina Borrellas, Manuela Piljevic.

Transfers: Laycee Drake (UMBC), Bella Stuart (New Hamp.), Kaci Donovan (Monmouth), Jessica Tomasetti (Mt. St. Mary’s).

Hoping all these 13 stick around and 1 or 2 more are added. A very short bench last year did not help toward the end of the season.

One more just announced. 19 year old frosh Emma Hakonardottir from Iceland. 5’10”, listed as a power forward, but in the one extended highlight video I saw, she shoots the 3 very well. Can’t wait to hear how our PA announcer handles that last name. Ladies roster now at 14.

At Broadview Center, I hope the announcers would have asked about the proper pronunciation however, on the road any one's guess.
