It's more about local basketball than UA today. Can you name the guys in this photo? I only have I.D.s on 4 of them so maybe one of you will know the mystery man.

What year is that photo from? Albany High has not worn the garnet uniforms since the merger with Phillip Schuyler, which I believe occurred in 1974-75? If that is about the right time, I'd guess the Albany High player is Ronnie Carrington, who went to Manhattan after his Albany High days. I'd also guess the guy in the CCHS Crusaders uniform is Gary Holle?

I'm not sure when the photo was taken. Someone who reads the board gave it to me but I didn't think to ask him.

 

I was sure you would get Carrington from Albany High. You're right about Holle, I've probably desicrated the board by putting a picture of him here.

Is the guy in the blue uniform Dave Modest from Linton? Is the guy in the red Ticky Burden?

Yes. A pretty good group. Carrington went to Manhattan, Modest to Providence? and Burden to Utah and the NBA. Didn't Holle play pro baseball somewhere also?

 

No one I showed it to knew who #55 is.

Holle made it to the majors for a few games. I think he had about 8 or 10 ABs for the Texas Rangers.

Another oldster in my office tells me #55 may be Paul Mason of Colonie HS.
