Wilson Suspended for Sacred Heart

CBS and NBC News said he is suspended for the game for breaking "team and athletic department rules". Hmmm, first Ayers now Wilson. What is going on? This was a interesting thing when i saw it.

Hate to see him suspended, but it is just one game. It's interesting that Lillis will start in his place.

 

What does that say about the roles of Wyatt, Johnson and Knotts that they will start a freshman when Q, Brent Wilson and Jamar are injured / unavailable to play.

Hopefully it means Lillis has practiced really well and is a very good player. It probably also means something that Lillis would get the start over Perry who is a pretty good player in his own right.

 

The quote from Brian Depasquale in the TU was "Jamar helped determine what the penalty would be in consultation with athletic director Lee McElroy and head coach Will Brown." Hopefully it's nothing serious but it puts a bit of a damper of the opening game.
