Spring Roster posted

A few notes:

 

1. Delgado not listed - I forget if he was supposed to return or not.

2. Bret Hall is on the roster. Maybe the starting job is his (if healthy) or Bocanegra's

3. David Fantell is not on the roster. I think the starting TB job was his to lose - maybe he knew he was going to lose it to Omar Johnson and left?

4. Not much depth at TB - besides Omar Johnson, you have Vives and a kid named Diaby who I didn't hear of at all last year. Maybe they run a one back set?

5. Christopher Lore is the TE from UConn -can't find much info on him

I think Fantell failed out - that was a rumor that floated around last winter. Another rumor that I heard this week was that Chris Stellato (OLB) is foregoing his fifth-year.

Fantall hurts...Stellato is not that great a loss. He can be replaced. Fantall had glimpses of greatness. What a shame!

Re: Stellato - Tough to spend the cash for a fifth year. I think Ford needs to find a scholarship for that semester if the kid will help the program. I think Roeder played the semester after his senior year - I assume he got a scholarship.

 

Re: Fantell - The leading rusher in the state of Florida his senior year, flashes of being a good runner and now he is not with the program? He was the only RB that got to sit behind Gary Jones- I had high hopes for him. Hope for his sake he didn't fail out.

They should be announcing the incoming transfers and Frosh. Hope they have a few TB's in the mix. Is there anyone behind Omar? Beigal is set at FB...they think he wil be as good as Jon George. I see they moved Carrabus to TE.

 

Omar and Beigal...that is a pretty big backfield. They may be bigger then Jones and George. I won't say as talanted...Yet! Omar from what i hear has all world potential!

one thing i wish the University site did was they have a Depth Chart that they update as a link on the website. Many of the Universities have something like that.
