As I'm usually not the biggest fan of double elimination because it invloves the most thought (lol), does this basically mean that we have to win either Game 6 or the "if necessary" Game 7 in order to win the AE title and send us to the NCAA Softball National Tournamanet? I think I'm right with this, just checking though.

Don't count your chickens yet people!!!! UAlbany softball was in this same situation in 2003 and lost two games on championship Saturday. The Great Danes beat BU on the Friday, and then dropped two to them the next day. If they lose that first one tomorrow, you can bet the nerves would be tight for the nightcap.

I was thinking of that game but didn't want to mention it. I think those games were also played at Stony Brook.

As we saw last weekend in the AE lacrosse championship when it was the same situation as 2002 with Stony Brook coming to Albany, sometimes similar circumstances produce very different results.

It's the Seapups for all the marbles tomorrow at noon.

Trailing 4-0, Stony Brook scored five in the bottom of the sixth. The tying run scored on a two-out, bases-loaded, swinging strikeout and passed ball. The winning run followed with a bases-loaded walk.
