UMass Game

Recommended Posts

Although it is a month away, I am looking forward to Albany's match at UMass. Hartford just won in Amherst this week without their best offensive weapon, Parker, in the lineup. I would think that a month from now, Jamar would be back in the mix and we could possibly have a shot in that contest (I think Siena is 10-15 points better than UMass). Even if we don't win the game, we can use it as a barometer as how far the Great Danes are behind Hartford, a team that should finish in the top-4 of the AE this season. A win over UMass, no matter how bad they are these days compared to the Calipari days, could be considered a "program changing" victory (aka, a win that puts us on the map).

It would be great to see a solid UAlbany road following at this Sunday afternoon game in late December. The Great Danes host Wagner two days later. I think it is realistic to expect atleast 2,000 for that one with Mike Deane returning to the area. Hey, maybe some Siena fans will actually step foot into the RAAC for the first time on that date.

Anthony Anderson is their best weapon. He is lightening quick at the PG spot and can shoot the lights out (trust me...i got torched by him in a summer league game two summers ago). Iati vs. Anderson should be interesting...very similar players.
