UA vs. Hofstra

It's been surprisingly quiet on this site re the game this weekend. Anyone have any insights as to how ready this team is? Who will start at QB, in the backfield, wide receivers? I sense a lot of anticipation but also a lot of uncertainty. I can't recall going into a season with so little information available.

WCDB will be brining live coverage of the game, as well as TW3 and Hofstras radio station. I believe Foxsports will be as well...

God forbid the Times Useless does the annual breakdown of the season and the prognosis.

The Times Useless is too busy scouring the bare cupboards of $iena ahtletics for stories that don't exist. So far, I have not seen any stories on local TV network affiliates either - beyond the brief clips during the first few days of practice.

 

However, with people returning to work after the Labor Day weekend, there may be some stories forthcoming.

Of course, the web site doesn't have the game notes up yet, either.

 

In last week's 8-page T-U high school preview, I noticed more and more games are being played on Friday instead of Saturday. We can only hope that increases the number of fans who might want to attend college games - if they ever find out about them.

 

But first the T-U has to finish recapping the Saratoga meet, and give the NFL preview.

 

They did print 'Division I' football schedules, but of course they meant only I-A.
