This is a tremendous honor for G.Burns, Coach Vives, and the entire program.

 

I would be even more impressive if he steps up and makes the finals. As #14 seed he'll need to have his best race to do so, but once you are in the finals anything can happen. He is only 1 second out of being the #3 seed.

I think we can say first D-I All-American period can't we? Have any other sports or individuals done it or come close while we've been D-I. I know Roberto has had many D-III & D-II All-Americans. The whole program just keeps stepping up to the plate.

Luke Daquino was an AA in Lacrosse. I believe we have one of the Volleyball girls as well? Maybe I am wrong on that one. Also, we have had a few DIAA All-Americans in football (at the Mid-Major level).

Sigh, I hope I get to "see" the ladies at the game...they are a sight!!!! (Wait...does that mean I am a dirty old man if I would ask one if them on a date?!?!)

 

ON a serious note...do we know if tix were put aside for the student athletes who have attended so many events over the years...or do they have to wait in line too? This is a Catch-22 in my eyes; for one, they have been there for their athletic bretheren over the years, however it would be nice to build up support from non-athlete students as well.

 

That is as tough as it gets (making that call)!
