Siena tourney at the Pepsi

I wonder if all the other teams that won't join this event also have penisenvy, or if their jealousy is why they can't see the advantages.

 

If $iena has trouble filling their schedule we could offer them a game at the RACC instead of NJIT. It'd help their RPI too.

As others have pointed out it seems like the NCAA ruling came out too late. A lot of schools had already made out their schedules. That and it seems likes more and more of these tournaments popped up after the ruling and taking some schools out of the running.

 

If it doesn't happen this year it should be interesting to see if it pops up again next year.

Instead of an expanded field of 8, wouldn't it make sense to just find two additional schools, play one home, one away (Siena) and one weekend double header at the TU Center featuring UA in the early game and Siena in the late game?

 

Instead of 4 for 1 we'd gain 3 for 1. Albany would play all 3 games locally and the TU Center would be filled twice.

 

I can't imagine two regional schools with the solid RPI's could not be found to make an interesting tournament.
