Connelly has diabetes

Recommended Posts

Coach Brown told the press afterwards that Connelly 6 months ago was diagnost with diabetes and was a reason why he played little at the end of the Harvard game. Type of stiuation Adam Morrison had with Gonzaga and now with Charlotte. Check Singalisis blog, he has more info on it.

Wow...that is amazing...and to see his energy. More amazing: NUHoopFan turned to me during the Harvard game and said, "Someone on that team must have diabetes or is really sick with the flu....all the players are drinking Gatoraid."

Looks like he was correct.

Blog now confirming that Connelly has Type 1 diabetes:

"Connelly clarified two things about his disease. He is a type 1 diabetic, the more serious kind, which means he takes daily shots of insulin to manage his condition. Also, he was diagnosed with the disease during his senior year of high school."

Unfortunate, but hopefully he will manage.
