Mid Majors fall

I hope this isn't a bad omen for us, but outside of VCU mid-majors have fallen when going up against majors. Kind of been boring as there wasn't any major upsets. Although the VCU game was one of the greatest games I've ever seen.

Take a look at this article for a good explanation of why this would be true...not that I would infer that the selection committee wanted it this way. Too embarrassing to the big boys any other way.

The fact that allot of mid majors fell will still hold true, even if we were to win we would be the exception and not the rule.

With the exception of VCU the midmajors have been killed in this tourney. The likes of Billy Packer will surely love this.

Stanford looked real good....majors have some elite teams and everyone else is mediocre.

bottom half of every major conference is no better than ualbany in my opinion

I agree! Look how tough Vermont played Kansas State out in Manhattan! Remember, was it second place in the ACC that UVA finished? Or did they share the regular season title? UVA is a good team! We played one of the top teams from the ACC (arguably, the top basketball conference) and did reasonably well in the second half. As always, proud to be a Dane!

 

How on earth did Utah take it to UVA earlier in the season????
