Wishful thinking. This chart is ridiculous though. Payton is at least a fourth-6th rounder....Larry Croom from UNLV is a much better back than the 12 or so guys ahead of him. Jones will get invited to a camp though.

 

LOL...Bruce Perry at 16...that is funny. The guy can't stay healthy. The list doesn't even have Vick King from McNeese State. Ridiculous I tell you! Nor does it have Colgate's TE who most say is an NFL'er. Kirwan Watson is quicker than GARY. I love Gary...and he is tough...but you don't draft 5'10, 215lbs 4.55 40 TB's. He will be a special teams pick up. Very similar to Keith Elias.

 

 

 

Still cool that Jones got listed. And I hope he proves me wrong.

There were only 23 running backs taken in the 2003 NFL Draft, including eight fullbacks and 15 tailbacks. Nine went in round four, while six went in round seven.

 

Seems to be that teams are willing to burn a later pick on someone who could carry the ball rather than risking a high pick. Makes sense I guess.

 

I don't know about Gary's chances, or who else will declare for this upcoming draft. Just stating some facts with my abacus.

Thanks for the links Reeder. It seems like even with the upper levels of the drafts the "gurus" can't predict what will happen. So who knows with Jones? It's pretty cool that he's on the NFL radar.
