Danes Do It!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Great team effort.

Almost 200 Iati fans made the trip from York, Pa. to see Jon get 22.

But this was a team victory. Levi sat out about 13 min in the 1st half with 2 fouls.

A little scary the last 3 minutes but Knotts and Levine buried important FTs.

"Q" came up with some big buckets and Wyatt continued his solid play even though he fouled out late in the 2nd half and was followed to the bench by "Q".

Johnson got carried away near the end with a few TOs but had 9 boards and 4 or 5 assists.

This team plays some "D".

At least the bus ride home will be enjoyable as both the Men and Women won!!!!!

BPG up next.

Terrific win and well earned. Sounded like a very physical game especially between Wyatt (of course) and several UMBC players in the first half. Iati's fan club was awesome-you could hear them several times on the radio. I'll be curious to see how many fans were there because they were probably a quarter of the total.

Really a great team win as a couple guys stepped up including Knotts with some big free throws at the end of the game. I'll stop complaining about him now.

Great win going into the growl.

Attendance was 1,642. Iati had 180 fans behind the Albany bench.

Love Zito's season stats - 46% shooter from the floor, 37% for free throws (27% in conference, 2-9 today with a couple airballs).

Got an invite today to the UA pre-tournament reception in Boston, but it's on Friday night - are they jinxing us by giving up on avoiding the first-round games already? All right, we're 3 games in the loss column behind Hartford for sixth place with seven to go, and I don't know who would have to lose to who, but there's still a month left in the season. If any team could use the extra day's rest, it would be us.

Congrats to the Danes for their victory on the road. For a change we came out and put some points on the board early. In our past few games we put our selves in a hole and have had to scratch and claw our way back in to contention, which takes a lot of energy, which in turn takes has taken it's toll in the closing minutes of games.

Lookin forward to the BPF and BPG! Let's Pack The Racc.

UAlum72 Glad you mentioned mentioned the pre-game party at the AE tourney. I got the card last night also and was trying to figure out if we were mathmatically eliminated from 6th place. We aren't and hopefully can help ourselves on Saturday.

Pretty cool of the alum to spring for the food and drinks for the party in Boston.

Assuming they seed the play-in teams, Were the season to end today we would play the Brook that Friday night at the tourney. Who wouldn't mind a chance to know Nick and Co. out of the tourney? As mentioned before we are 3 losses behind Hartford (6th place) and they have home games with UMBC and UNH left on their schedule so they are probably out of reach. 7th place looks possible with UMBC and Stony Brook one game ahead of us in the standings but both with more road games than home games on their remaining schedules. 7th would give us a likely matchup with UNH which with how the Danes have played them lately would give us one happy night in Boston anyway.
